Natur ECB (/necb) does a nice job of showing some timers for targets like Divine Shield, Ice Block, and time remaining (counting DR) on stuns ... but it's displayed in a single reshuffled list, with the target name on the bar.

What I'd like is to show time-remaining bars on a few key immunities or CCs (something like buff filtering won't work on enemies; you need to parse the gains/casts messages), in a separate frame I can place near my unit frames, mainly for target and focus. I know Pitbull can filter auras, but that's not good enough for enemy buffs, and I want a more prominent "duration remaining".

For example, WorldOfPapa.wmv - FileFront.com shows a mage with a custom "focus' divine shield timer" bar that pops up when his Paladin victim bubbles. Sucks to waste a counterspell on your focus when you didn't see the bubble ...

Quartz does something like this already - perhaps that's what you're looking for.

You can see Quartz mid-screen (positioned there by me) showing the remaining time on the debuffs. It can display buffs as well, and they do renew when restacked by you or a party member.

If the effect you want to be aware of puts an actual buff or debuff on the target, you can use Debuff Filter to create icons for the buff/debuffs you are interested in on you, your target, or your focus . You can place these anywhere on the screen you want. If they are your buffs/debuffs you can get timer information as well. For how long their ability will be up, you will still have to use NECB or something like it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look more at the options for Quartz and DebuffFilter to see if I can get more of what I want.

It turns out that /necb options would allow me to turn off many of the things I'd use Quartz or DebuffFilter for, leaving only the gains like block/divine shield, and ONLY for my focus. So the whole /necb frame would be entirely devoted to monitoring my focus. /necb also has profiles so I could still use other timers for pve/raids.

My only complaint then, is that because /necb only has a single bars-frame, I'd need a second instance of /necb (one could edit the mod so the namespace used is different) in order to also do the same for (just) my target.

I'm pretty sure that divine shield, ice block, clos, evasion, wotf, etc. do NOT show up as buffs on an enemy (perhaps if you have detect magic, but really ...), so something like /necb is needed.

I've been using DebuffFilter to do the same thing. Interesting.

Two unrelated questions about your SS:

The portrait for your target is very wide. Is this useful compared to the little square? Does it have any informational content (combat text or other?) or is it just a portrait?

What looks like another portrait-like frame in the bottom left ... reminds me of a rear view mirror. What's it for, and what does it do?

Is there anything on wowace.com that tracks gains/DRs like /necb? So far it seems *maybe* sorrenTimers (haven't tried it).
