Flexbar had a steep learning curve, and took considerable effort to set up. The reason why it wasnt as popular is because other bar mods made life much more easy. In Flexbar, you had to do everything via commands and simultaneously keep the documentation open for reference. But once you got the hang of it... you could so some pretty crazy stuff.
For example,
I had a script that bound my healthstone, whipper root and potion to the same button (the "F" key). The Flexbar script would automatically switch depending on which of those consumables were on cooldown. So whenever I ran low on health, all I had to do was tap my "F" key a couple times without ever worrying about ("oh shit, my potion is on timer, should use Whipper instead"). Great for PvP.
