Does anyone know a tool/application that allows me to split and create separate DKP strings for EQDkp from a given string?
My current problem is that I made a mistake on our last nights Magtheridon/Maulgar/Gruul run and now have all three bosses and everyone who joined to raid at any point during the evening in my DKP string. As you can imagine this is a real mess now. I have tried to copy & paste some stuff to build my own string, but EQDkp rejects it as an invalid string.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Has anyone managed to get BigWigs to announce the make-up of trash waves in Hyjal? it has an option that looks like it should provide extra detail on each wave, but it simply won't for me, no matter how I mess with the configuration. I know DBM will do it, and we sometimes have someone with DBM co-broadcast with me, but I'd love to stick with just BigWigs to live in the wowace world.

If you look in the Big Wigs vs DBM thread you will see I've had this problem for some time and Funky has no idea what the issue is. I've forced everyone to install BW to fix this which caused plenty of bitching. Interesting enough that I had everyone with assist turn on broadcasting and nothing went out.
BTW, for those asking for timers I use Big Wigs Common Auras. It puts up a timer bar for heroisms, innervates, misdirects, repair bots, etc. Plus you can instantly see when someone has used an AOE taunt, shield wall, etc. Combined with oRA2 which I forced everyone to install, I have all cooldowns listed on screen now for raid leading sinice oRA will handle soul stones, DI and sometimes it will get Ahnk.

I fixed this by always starting the events myself. If you (or whomever is doing the announces) are the one to talk to Jaina or Thrall it should always work.

Thanks. Chicken, in the BW/DBM thread says that as long as anyone running BW opens up the Jaina dialogue before the pull (they don't even have to kick it off, just have to see her initial dialogue), it will announce properly.
This makes total sense...BW must key off the different dialogue before each set of trash waves to know what is coming up.

This. I had been modifying BigBrother again to do what I wanted, but BigWigs_CommonAuras is pretty much excellent for this sort of thing.

I would like to add key bindings to configure a mob easier (i.e toggle between tank and CC for example). The configuration is a bit cumbersome right now and definitely could be made easier. My time has been split between the various addons I've needed and/or wanted for my own raid leading (Magic Marker, MagicDKP, Magic Targets and also a couple of internal-only Kalecgos addons).

Anyone know of a mod that assists the raid leader in setting up groups, based on saved templates?
My RL has been asking for one, which I'll write if I have to, but since this isn't a new problem I'm hoping something already exists.
Basically, he wants to set up groups for a boss, then hit a button to "save" the current template. Then next week, he wants to be able to click a button to sort everyone into groups as close to the earlier rev as possible. If the same person is in the raid, stick them in the same group. Otherwise, if there's someone who wasn't in the raid the first time, but who is the same class/spec, use them instead. Bonus points if you can also define some generic equivalencies (e.g. melee dps, ranged dps, ranged casters) who can also be interchanged if same class/spec isn't available. Everyone else can either be placed randomly, or better yet gets stuck in groups 6-8 for easy fill in after the fact.

The only one I can think of from the top of my head that comes close to what you want is Group'o'Matic: WoWInterface Downloads : Raid Mods : Group O Matic
I'd be careful with the Auto option though, it gave me some odd results most of the time.

RaidTemplate from Curse still works.
Group O Matic looks a bit hard to setup, will give it a try.

It's possible via game interface via ( usually ) "O" hotkey and "Raid" Tab, there you can assign "Tank" status to player ( looks like shield icon )

Select the player in the raid.
Use the console and type /mt (for a main tank), or /ma (for a main assist)
Then you can drag out the MT/MA windows from the standard raid interface, or whatever you happen to be using (I use Pitbull).
To remove them, right-click on the MT/MA window and choose "demote".
You must be a RA or RL to perform this function.

Our guild is using a loot council system and we're looking to track attendance and loot awarded via a simple database. Something that shows an attendance percentage and last loot date or something like that. One of our members suggested ct_raidtracker Offical MLdkp site - CT_RaidTracker MLdkp Version in combination with eqdkp for the database Fatma's United DKP: DKP Stats
It looks like ct isn't updating raidtracker anymore? Basically I don't want to start using a tracking mod that will stop working a month from now, any suggestions on mods that are still being updated and could do this? Any help would be appreciated.

I've never organized attendance for any guild before, but couldn't you just do eqDKP or a similar system and just set all item values to 0? That will display attendance, as well as last 30/60/90 day attendance if you choose to do so.

Yeah I plan on using eqdkp for the database, but I'm looking for a mod that works in game to collect the data for it.

It's been a little while, so my info could be out of date. But a year or two ago, CT was still updating CTRT (or at least keeping it up to date), but it didn't have any ability to work with eqdkp or other such external tools; for example, it didn't have an export string, I believe.
Someone created a modded version of it that did, and thus the eqdkp versions of CTRT were born. For a long time I used the version maintained by Freddy/Alison. My guild stopped using dkp when BC hit, so I stopped updating it, and eventually stopped even loading it. But as I recall, the mldkp version is just the current iteration of that modified version, now being maintained by someone else. If you want to use CTRT with an eqdkp system, you'll have to use a non-CT version of the tool.

This seems like the appropriate thread to post a plug. There is a newer Ace'd replacement for CT Raidtracker called HeadCount which was designed to be a CT Raidtracker replacement and offer additional features not currently present in CTRT. HeadCount offers player attendance tracking, boss kill tracking, loot tracking, and the ability to export the information out in various formats (EQdkp, phpBB, etc.) along with more in-the works (comma-separated values, XML, and plaintext). My initial goal in developing HeadCount was to automate the process of raid tracking and avoid manual steps as much as possible.
Currently, there are no historical reporting features as it cares about raids on a raid-by-raid basis, but this is on the feature roadmap. It has been in active development since early in year and there are additional features in the works (raid waitlist management) in response to user feedback.

Thanks - given the current alternatives, the effort is very much appreciated. So far the Wish List for features to be implemented looks pretty complete. One thing though: Is it possible to implement some sort of synchronization function so that raid leaders and assistants who are using this mod share and backup their (current) raid database?

I've thought about it, but it's not something high on the priority list right now. The major benefit to synchronization is to pass information to other raid assistants who happen to be outside of the instance. The short term request I've received is to allow users to manually add entries (loot, boss kills), but synchronization is the more correct long-term solution. I'll look into this once the user feedback wish list is whiddled down more.

Hi Nods,
My guild uses NRT (ace2) to track loots in-game and attendance to boss kills, and it exports to the CTRT xml string (which is imported into Freddy's mod to eqdkp). NRT gives us the loots.
For attendance, we set up an event in eqdkp called "Attendance" and we put in one attendance "raid" for each raid night. An officer of ours created a custom-addon using NRT as source code that you click on to take attendance of all members online that are a certain guild rank or higher, rather than just who is in the raid group. Then that addon provides a CTRT xml string for import into the eqdkp site. You could also just use NRT to take attendance, but you would either need all players who should get attendance to be in the raid group, or use NRT's announce feature to allow players online to respond to the attendance request.
Each attendance raid is worth 1 dkp for easier math in the system, and we customized the attendance ratings in eqdkp to only count "Attendance" raids. Our guild uses loot council, but we still track dkp values for loots and boss kills in order to use dkp as a somewhat objective source of information in loot council decisions.
An couple examples of the eqdkp site:
DKP: History for Aonghus The attendance figures on the top of my player summary page are based only on the "Attendance" raids.
DKP: Attendance Summary We also custom-built this summary page that shows 30/60/90/lifetime attendance for all active players in the guild.
Let me know if you want either the eqdkp customizations or the attendance addon and I'll see if I can get you a copy of the code.

I'd like to also plug MagicDKP as an alternative to CTRT. I wrote it because CTRT basically stopped working in 2.4 (and was, frankly, not working well before that). It's on WoWAce. UI is different from CTRT but the idea is similar. It IS primarily meant to track DKP-per-boss event and variable valued items. However it has support for fixed DKP values (or no values) - this can be configured on a per item basis. Export to eqdkp works (for me) via the CTRT import plugin.
