I searched the topic and only found the above statement. I still have this problem, which as a druid is really anoying, since I have to battle rezz dead people. Formerly the frame alpha changed for dead people when I came into range but now they just keep beeing displayed as oor no matter how close I am.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks.

So I've been using Grid by itself for some time....and I downloaded 2 plugins, the Res monitor one mentioned earlier, and the MT layout for oRA. However neither work. Nothing changed, and when I move the layout to oRA tank + 25 man, it shows the 25 man raid but no tanks (although our raid leader has specified the tanks via oRA).
Do you have to "activate" the plugins somehow?

Hmm... should be fine... what are you using for MT's? I recommend GridLayoutPlus if you're using something else.
For resurrections, I'm going to assume you have to set it to one of the boxes/texts before you can see anything.

You have to enable the status for an indicator. So, select the status you want to see for an indicator in the frame options.

Is there a option to make grid drain the health bar from left to right or vice versa as opposed to top to bottom? I searched the option menus but couldn't find one. It is likely I missed it as I am tired. Thanks in advance.

Grid->Frame->Advanced. Select "Horizontal" from "Orientation of Frame" drop-down menu.
Cheers.

Has anyone who uses grid tried to set it up so that it has the same functionality as Healbot.
Healbot has some restrictions that I want to get around. But also a lot of built in stuff that I do not want to loose.
i.e. seeing how big other peoples incoming heals are.
But when I tried clique in the past I could not restrict it to raid frames and found normal right click functions would not work. I did not have the time to investigate further at the time so dropped it and used Healbot.

While I'm not 100% sure on what other features you're looking for, I'd grab GridStatusIncomingHeals from the WowAce updater.

Functionnality of GSIncomingHeals is now included in core Grid, you don't need the plugin anymore.

1. Grid has that, too. But everyone needs either Grid or any other addon which uses "LibHealComm-3.0". I just told every healer in my guild to either use Grid or (if they don't want because they suck :P) just use VisualHeal and disable the 2 bars VisualHeal shows. This way they can keep their old raidframes or whatever they use and still send useful information via LibHealComm
2. Clique can do that .. in the options you can tell it which frames Clique should work for. I disabled everything but Grid-Frames.

Stupid question: is it possible to make Grid frames grow from right to left direction while in vertical position? I've looked into menu and haven't found any option concerning it.

Brutallus's burn
My guild is actually working on Brutallus and our resto druid healing the burn would love to be able to check how long the burn is ticking (the duration). I know that Bigwigs show that information but it would be great if she could check this information directly in Grid. That way, she could predict more easily the damage that the next tick is going to make.
Thanks in advance

Send me a PM on these forums and I can send you a "GridStatusBrutallus" addon that will do exactly this - if you assign it to a text field it will put a countdown timer on anyone with Burn from 60 to 0, will be coloured green from 60-40, yellow from 40-20 and red from 20-0. Our Restos are so used to using it now they find it almost impossible to heal Burn without it
If anyone wants to publish/maintain it on the Wowace SVN I'm quite happy for them to do so. It is based on the GridStatusKalecgos addon and is acknowledged as such.#

Thank you, Daboran! We have Brutallus on farm now but I have been waiting for something like this to be released. We usually have someone call out when they have 20 seconds to go.. this will be a huge help. Can't wait to try it out.

I am really loving the grid/clique combo but I am having a few problems.
I was wondering is there a way to configure grid/clique to target the player I am clicking? It just seems that clique takes away the target function when u bing a heal to it.

Use left click to select, right click or alt-left click, ctrl-left click etc to cast a spell?
The most efficient way though, is to use macros with "target=mouseover" so you never have to actually click Grid - just mouseover the unit you need to cast a spell on and cast it. That way you can leave left-click funtionality unchanged for those times when you are single-target healing one or two targets (e.g. Brutallus main tanks) only.

Thank you for sharing your work.
We are a small raiding guild and we had recently our first attempts on Brutallus. I was responsble for healing the brun victims. After then i was looking for such an addon and couldn't find anything Therefore I had probably the same idea as you and started playing around with the GridStatusKalecgos addon.
To come to the point: did you have the idea to consider the number of applications of the meteor slash debuff in your addon? Imho it is crucial to know if the vicitm has any MS stacks on it and if the second healer is required earlier to help out.
For further information please see also the resto discussion on this subject.

Basically, it's not that easy to see how many stacks of a debuff anyone has on them due to the limitations of lua. I suppose it might be possible to hack the lifebloom addon in to show a "dot" for each Meteor debuff on a target, but in practice our Druids have managed ok as long as they know how much time is left on the Burn - it's pretty obvious to a healer how many stacks are on the target by the time 30secs have passed.
If you want to publish on wowace and give it a go you're free to try

It was mentioned several times in this thread, GridStatusRaidDebuff show debuff stack counter just fine. Probably not needed for Brutallus, but very nice for Twins

Huh? it's easy to see how many stacks of a specific debuff someone has on them. I hacked up this exact same mod a few weeks ago, also using GridStatusKalecgos as a model, mine shows the meteor slash count as part of the text string.
So for someone with 2 stacks of Slash and 20 seconds left on Burn, CenterText2 would read '2-20' (or '2-40' if you prefer counting up, its a toggle).
function GridStatusBurn:GetMeteorSlashCount(unit)
for i = 1, 40 do
local name,_,texture,count = UnitDebuff(unit,i);
if (not texture) then
break;
elseif name == (BS["Meteor Slash"]) then
self:Debug(count);
return(count);
end
end
end
I'm sure it could be done more efficiently, but this works fine.
edit: If anyone wants to try/see it, you can download it here

This is gonna seem kinda stupid but I had grid setup in a way which was taken from one of these threads, after much scanning I can't find it. Basically a priest posted their Grid UI setup for BG's etc and the bars were elongated and kinda 3d rounded bars, since I have a new comp I can't find the setup or anything like it. See attached a crude paint illustration:
Just to note there was no black edges etc that the default grid has, and no other crazy custom stuff attached to it, the priest who posted it attached the 2 files (Grid.lua and Grid.cfg I beleive) and was wondering if anyone had those files? This setup was fantastic and I had replaced having raid and party frames because of the ease at which it told me peoples health/range.

Just to follow, I found a friend who I had given the setup to for grid, will post a SS incase anyone likes them and wants it, they can PM me and I'll try to get it to them:
p.s Ignore the noobiness of my Ui, new comp etc still playing with it, grid is in the top left.
