Was that direct at my post? What I'm stating is a bug. I asked here because I couldn't see any post related to the same bug, so I wonder if thats only my problem or is it known.
EDIT - I solved the isue. It was strange. I messed around with spacing and the bug went way. Some spacing values make one of the sides of the border dissapear. So if you have this bug you know what to do.

My grid is taking up more space then it did before 3.0 due to extra padding between frames, even though the padding is set to 0. Does anyone know what is causing this?

I believe the answer is that you don't move the frames.
At least that's what i've been told several times, since i too would LOVE to be able to move the individual frames of Grid independently, would make healing assignments infinitely easier. But alas... not possible.
The best i've found to do is use the option to forcibly assign a person as a "Tank" so that they are in the center of my view regardless of class.

@ Kreoss
I have seen similar distortion of the borders when my grid's scale isn't some "clean" number, for example 0,73 rather than 1,00.
This can happen with plenty of other addons too, probably has something to do with rounding the set size values multiplied by the scale factor to actual pixels. A quick way to fix this issue usually is to set your addon's scale to 1 and then set the frame width and heigth using pixels as they will appear on your screen.

Reason: Noticed the issue was fixed already and edited the post to be more useful in general

I have not tweaked Grid recently, but can you set the padding to a negative number?

I can not. Being able to do so would probably fix my problem. I'll try and see if I can tweak it myself.

How easy would it be to configure or make a plugin to Grid to have it give you an icon/indicator/whatever of super-high threat targets. My idea is that Grid could show who could use a HoSalv (say 85% threat) and I could use a moueover macro or Click to Cast or similar so I could just click on people fairly easily. Thoughts on how to go about this?

Somehow managed to foul up my addons and smited all my grid settings.
For the life of me I can't find where to get rid of the shadows on name texts, had them removed on my old setup.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I think that GridStatusThreat does what you're looking for Pope Master. Give it a try!

Does anyone have a working module that will show ORA2 tanks? I used to use a module that showed them, but 3.0 broke it.

Questions about the grid Cooldown Animation
I've seen posts about it here and earlier, but none really cleared up the problem I'm having with the grid center icon. What I really want to do is get the grid center icon to display the cooldown spiral or at very least the duration of whatever Aura I select to show on the center icon; for example, renew. Is this possible?
Things I've Tried:
Grid Cooldown Text addon
Grid by itself, with its own renew aura
GridStatusHots
The icon cooldown frame and icon stack text options are turned on. Any ideas? Is this feature not yet fully implemented? Any help would be appreciated.

It's working for me, which is why I haven't updated it. Do you have specifics (error message ? unwanted behaviour ?) ?

No errors, it just doesn't show up as an option. I have all my addons saved since 2.4... i'll go back and see if i have an older version that'll work. Maybe i did something stupid like forgot to enable out-of-date addons in my addon interface, i'll check. thanks.

The other part of this plan I'm not sure will work well is the issue of how much screen space Grid takes up for each size group; my monitor is annoyingly small and so I tend to have everything squished together pretty tightly. I could see that being fine for 25 people or less, but what about 40? It's unlikely I'd just be able to stick the extra 15 bars on the side somewhere, since it would almost certainly start overlapping other aspects of my UI, but I'd love to have my UI change as little as possible as I move between raids/arenas/BGs/other settings.
Any ideas or advice would be welcome (as long as it's more than "go buy a bigger monitor"!).

I use grid as my only UI, with gridstatuslifebloom of course. I don't think you'll have a problem getting rid of other UI's and effectively healing. Grid will definitely take care of any problems you have, you might need to get a grid mod or two though. I used to have the same problem with switching UI layouts from tanking to healing. I put some time into getting my grid set up just right, and now it's the only thing I need.
Also, I assume you are hiding party portraits while in a raid group. If screen space is an issue, not doing this will kill you. You can always change the size of the grid if your monitor is THAT small.

I am sure the answer is somewhere, I just haven't found it.
First time GRID user, health deficits show vertical, I want it horizontal, I got the horizontal thingie, but I don't know how to change it.

Has anyone tried GRID with the new fights on dragons? I've been in Oculus with green (healing) dragon and had to enable regular party-pet frames because GRID didn't work well with all those dragons. It seems GRID uses name as an ID of a pet and doesn't work when there are several pets with identical names. Even more, I fear it will be very big problem in future fights when all 25 people take their dragons and fly on them.
I'm not sure whether GRID authors read this thread, but if you're here, please take a look on that and give us a solution.
Thanks!

Due to the increased number of situations where players encounter multiple party/raid members (pets really) with the same name (The Occulus, Malygos, Wintergrasp), I've started work on converting Grid from storing data based on unit name to unit guid.
I'm also taking this opportunity to make a few more changes to Grid, namely saving layout settings for each party type (solo, group, bg, arena, raid) and rewriting the aggro status to use the new threat functions.
What does this mean for you? - Units with the same name can be differentiated but not all statuses will be able to do so (notably the incoming heals).
- Any existing status modules you have (GridStatusHots, GridStatusRaidDebuff, etc.) will not work until they are updated.
- Any existing dynamic layout modules you have will probably not work.
I need people to test these changes in Occulus and Malygos. If you can live without any extra status modules and you can provide quality bug reports with screenshots and stack traces, you are invited to track the new branch at svn://svn.wowace.com/wow/grid/mainline/branches/unitguid
If you decide to test the unitguid branch, please remember: - This is a development branch and that it may break in strange and exciting ways, so keep a copy of the stable Grid around.
- All bug reports must be submitted via the wowace project page: Grid - World of Warcraft - WowAce.com

Just to clarify it for me, does this mean that GRID will not support the incoming heals notification in the future at all or that it does not support it right now?

It means that the incoming heals notification does not know the difference between units with the same name and therefore has to guess which one is actually being healed.

So the incoming heals mod needs the updated UID code as well?
