I have just started to use GRID and i have noticed that i cannot use my mousebound spells while the cursor is over the GRID frame. Since i have all my important healing spells on the mouse its kind of pointless to use GRID if i need to remove the cursor from the frame after each time i switch targets.
I know alot of you are thinking "why dont you just switch your bindings?" the way i have my bindings is the way i like them and the layout is very effective for me.
Is there anyway i can get it to work? Maybe let grid ignore all buttons except the left-mousebutton(for targetting), have it read the mousebuttons like keyboard strokes?
Thanks and hope you can help me.

Mouseover targetting isn't a built in function of grid. I'm not sure whats happening, but my guess is that the macros you have bound to the mouse contain 'target=mouseover'

I dont have any macros just pure and simple keybindings. Example; Windows Mousebutton 5 = Shield. So if i want to spam shields on the raid(Disc specc), i target someone in the raid, move away the cursor so its not hovering over GRID and then click Mousebutton 5.
What i would like to do is, Target someone in the raid, cast shield, target a new person, cast shield. To remove the motion where i need to move the cursor away from GRID. Thank you again. Any possible solution is welcome.

Localo, install Clique. It's very nice addon to bind all your spells to mouse and works great in conjunction with Grid. You will forget the meaning of "target"

how do you make a healing priority?
and can you make a secondary for an OT?

Mana bars and colors;
I did a search through the thread, and didn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been answered.
Is there a way to color the mana/RP/Rage/Power bars by class color? The rest of my UI does this, and it is slightly annoying (read; infuriating for people with OCD) to not have grid doing this. Thanks in advance!

Its not possible, but if you have a good reason why you need it you can create a ticket for it at

I think this applies to all unitframes and using mousebuttons as binds, atleast when I tried having pvp trinket on thumb button I couldn't use it if my cursor happened to be on top of some frame.

I'd like to have a mod for Grid to break the groups. In a 8 party raid (Alterac Valey, Wintergrasp), the frame spreads over half of the window. I don't want to scale the frames or narrow the distance between frames, just have group 1-4 above gorup 5-8 instead of right beside.

I had the same problem with my logitech G5 mouse when I had thumb button as Mouse Button 5 and then had that bound to a spell.
What I did was binding keystrokes to the mouse buttons in the mouse configuration in windows and then binding those keystrokes to the spells.
For example mousewheel left is 'ä' and thumb button is 'ö'.
That made it work for me at least.

I'm new to grid so maybe there's a simpler solution, but you can make a custom layout very easily, and set it as your battleground layout. See WoW AddOns - 125 - 25man Vertical Layout - WowAce.com for an example that makes a single-column "grid" sorted by group of up to 25 - change the maxUnitsPerColumn to 40, and the groupFilter to 1 to 8 instead of the 1 to 5 listed there, and see if you like it.

Don't believe I have found any mention of the Prayer of Healing bug on grid. Has anyone written a quick fix to this problem (Registering the incoming healing on any group targeted with PoH as your own)?

Have you upgraded your addons to the latest versions? Grid itself can't be guilty in the problem. It can be either GridStatusIncomingHeals or LibHealComm. I can say that in my Grid I see PoH incoming heals at the proper group. It was buggy when 3.1 was just released but in few days was fixed in one of the addons.

I feel like this is something simple and has asked somewhere before but I've tried the search function to no avail.
How do I get Grid to discolor or hide people who are outside 40 yards? I enabled the "40 yards range" option under the config but still no dice. This would really be helpful for healing in BG's.

Budikah:
Frame -> Frame Alpha -> More than 40 yards away (or whatever distance you want)
mrfuzzle:
If you have the most recent version of grid there are separate layout options for nearly every possible group setup. Layout -> Arena Lauout -> None

Set the range priorities lowest to highest. I use 10 yards 81, 20 yards 82, 30-83, 40-84, 100-90.

Assisting in grid possible?
I'm a big fan of GRID but there is one little feature that i really have been missing.
I would like to have assisting raidmembers (Raidmembers with the same target as me) highlighted in GRID, is that possible to do?

I have been using grid for a while now, and i've never really thought of this, but is there a way to make the grid unit for players that are out of range, fade out a bit so i know which ones are in range of a heal? It takes too much time to fumble about trying dropping heals on people that arent in range, when someones health that you could be healing, randomly drops while you're fumbling with that, and then wipes.
I've looked through all the grid extensions on curse and havnt found anything that could be used like that, if I'm overlooking anything please let me know! thanks.

yes, actually i did, i tried that last night and it still didnt do anything which is why i posted that. seeing if there was an addon that potentially could do that, i have the lastest versions of all my grid extensions. i set grid range exactly the way it was answered above, but it did nothing. thus my question.

Is there any way to change the transparency of the Center Icon? I added custom debuffs to grid and showing them on the Center icon slot (like Ignis's Slag Pot and so on). But if the icon is up, i can't see the player's current HP clearly. I like the way am i using the Center icon+debuffs just want to change the opacity of the icon.

Anyone got a answer for this? i find this very annoying aswell.
