There isn't a preview or test frame. The easiest way is to queue for a battleground (AV is the best, but the queue may not be) and sit in spawn while you work on your raid frames.

I have been a long time user of Grid on my healing druid. I have it set up just perfectly, how I like it. However, I have also began healing on my paladin and I'm curious to know if it is possible to have two separate profiles for both characters rather than just one generic setup which is customized for my druid.

/grid config -> Profile -> "Choose" drop menu -> pick your Paladins name or class
That will separate the Paladin's Grid from the Druid's (which I'm guessing is set as your Default). If you want to start configuring the Paladin's Grid from your Druid's config:
/grid config -> Profile -> "Copy from" drop menu -> click Default

What makes Grid better for healing than VuhDo? Ive been trying Grid, but i find Vuhdo more helpful.

Is there anyway I can do the following:

This is how my current Grid UI looks:

I want to make vertical groups. Group 1 on left, Group 2 on right. Under group 1 is group 3 and under group 2 is group 4 and so on. Is this possible?

What is the name of Grid's addon which adds 4 icons in the center? You have only 1 by default :/

For extra grid icons in the center you're going to want Grid Indicator Icon Bar. It hasn't been updated recently but it works well for me currently.

Another way to get extra icons on grid is via GridIndicatorCornerIcons or GridIndicatorSideIcons.
However, the Corner/Side Icon mods don't seem to display the cooldown swirl from Grid Cooldown Text so I don't find them very useful.

I want 0 space between my Grid boxes. Setting padding to 0 still has some space and it can't go negative.

Is there a simple way to do this? If not, where should I go about digging in the lua files to fix it myself?

I am looking for something like vohdo's cluster scanner for grid, it shows how many nearby people are to each person. Its amazing for AOE healing, but I can't find anything like that for grid.

Haste is the devil...

GridStatusCloseUp : WoWInterface Downloads : Unit Mods

Don't use it myself so I don't know if and how it currently works.

I use the Blizzard default scrolling combat text. Incoming heals go behind Grid and do not interfere at all. However, on my druid alt, they cover up Grid. Switching to the priest's Grid profile had no affect. The scrolling combat text settings are the same for both toons. Does Grid have an option somewhere to put itself on the top layer of the UI?

You could use the aggro options to see which tank currently has aggro.

Is there anyway to get rid of Druid's incoming heals (mainly Hots) so i don't get Grid spammed with it.

Not sure if it's all about Libcom or just grid.

EDIT: nevermind...just found the options on grid: Status > Incoming heals > Heal Filter

Dreamwalker-Clique/Grid interface

I am trying to add dreamwalker to my GRID as focus target. I use Grid/Clique to heal and my focus seems to re-set when i pop out of the portals and time is wasted to reset the focus.

Is there a way to add Dreamwalker to my grid and easily use clique for these transition phases?

Nope.
As the authors stated Grid is a raid frame addon, not a unit frame addon.

Clique works on a lot of unitframe addons though. Check out the frame options and select which one you need. For showing hots and other healing buffs you'd need an additional addon

/target Valithria Dreamwalker
/focus
/cast (insert the first spell you usually spam when you exit a portal)

This can probably be written in a better form, but I don't want to suggest something that potentially does not work. For instance: /focus [target=Valithria Dreamwalker, exists] might be the way to go, but I'm not well-versed in macros. This of course doesn't fully solve your problem, but it should eliminate wasted time and then you can continue to use Clique with your focus frame as normal.

A real application that our guild received:

7. Post a screenshot of your UI in a raid environment and explain any addons which are not displayed. (Make use of http://imgur.com to upload said image.)

Hey y'all.
Dunno if this has been posted or mentioned before - didn't find anythin' via search.

I'm looking for a way to indicate my power word shield and weakened soul buff/debuff-timer (aka. duration) only via text.
Meaning: once i cast pw:s on a player, instead of seing an icon or little dot or whatever, i only want to see the countdown (aka. duration) until both Weakened soul and PW:S itself ran out or the shield is fully absorbed.

Now I saw this used by Tiduz of Cuties Only, so i'm pretty sure it exists.
I tried to accomplish this by using GridIndicatorCornerText and GridIndicatorSideText, but it kinda only shows the whole name of the buff/debuff even if "show duration".

Maybe any1 of you guys can help me out.

cheers

I use GridStatusShield and GridStatusWeakenedSoul in combination with GridIndicatorCornerText for the exact function you listed in your post. If you try to just use the CornerText module without the actual Status modules, you end up with just the buff/debuff name.
