Sorry for the slow reply, unfortunately shortly after I posted that my graphics card decided to overheat and crash (no idea how it happened). Prior to this occurrence I had to delete all my addons anyway when I was trying to see if it was WoW messing up or my graphics card (obviously it was the card). In any case, after loading it on again I am still unable to have Arcane Intellect show up on grid, even when I have the correct profile selected. Several people seem to have fixed a problem like this by creating the buff, how do you go about doing this?

I am normally the Main Assist for my guild, and we have had alot of problems recently with people not following the correct target. What I would absolutely love is a Grid Indicator that would show up if someone had the same target selected as I have. Similar to how alot of Party frames will show party targets and can show if everyone is on the correct target or not. It might also be beneficial for healers that are assigned to the same target to easily identify if someone is off target or not. I visualize it, for example, as setting the border for each frame as MyTarget, then each unit that has the same target as myself selected gets a white border indicator, for example.

I'm not sure about Grid, but the only UI I've seen that has that type of functionality is Xperl, which has an indicator that will show you exactly how many people are targetin the same mob you are.

Try using the backup of the saved variables for Grid. If it was workign for you previously, using the backup could potentially be the quickest way of restoring that functionality. As for creating buffs, I haven't attempted to make any changes in Grid aside from custom layouts so I wouldn't be able to help with that.

I think you misunderstood my question. I know the difference between a mouseover and button: modifier. In fact, my question had nothing to do with that.

If I have a macro to cast renew on my "mouseover target" and I bind that macro to a key such as "E" it will cast renew if I'm "mousing over" a persons grid frame. If I bind that same macro to one of my mouse buttons instead such as "Middle Mouse", it will not cast renew on the person if I'm "mousing over" their grid frame.

My question is, if the UI is already using the mouse to check your "mouseover target", can it not execute a command issued via a mouse button?

There's something very close. Instead of sorting by group-sort by class in the customizations. Warriors and Druids are the two leftmost columns. Makes for very easy tank healing for trash or multi tank encoutners.

You really want to bind left and right mousebutton?

I use the Macro /cast [modifier:shift, target=mouseover] Abolish Desease; [target=mouseover] Despell Magic
and have it on my Mouse-Button 4 (shift+MB4). So, i don't really know, if the first two MButtons are blocked or not, but maybe this information helps.

ah, just to mention. I don't use this macro in an original way, i have it bound to the buttons via Clique.

ah, just to mention. I don't use this macro in an original way, i have it bound to the buttons via Clique.

I have thumb buttons on my mouse that I use, I can also click my mousewheel as a mousebutton, if you count shift and control modifiers (no alt) I have 9 extra buttons I can use on my mouse aside from left and right click.

I just switched to grid last night from sRaidframes and I'm having a bit of problem with it.

I'm mostly using it to save space on my UI and it does a good job of that. It's the arrangement that is the biggest problem I've found.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do the following:

1. Sort by Class
2. Then Sort only for 25man
3. Display name and health deficit without the -NUMBER appearing.

Sraid frames allowed me to say "OK groups 1-5 only and then sort by the class" We usually leave people in groups 7 and 8 for swapping in and out as required by the boss or for composition. When I just sort by Class it sorts all 8 groups and I don't need to see that as MT it can be confusing when to call a wipe or when to keep going.

Are there filters I am missing here?

I'd love to be able to do that too, I'm fairly sure it's within the capabilities of the mod but not seen it in either the default layouts or in the "layouts for healers" module unless I'm missing something.

GRID freezes and frequently crashes for me when I join a raid (especially in BGs and 40 mans). I have perused through this thread as well as the FAQ/forums on the WoWAce website for a solution but haven't found one which works. I did read that deleting the GRID associated files in saved variables folder should fix it but it only proved to be temporary. A few days after I deleted the files I again started to freeze and crash when joining raids. Any help would be much appreciated.

I think it might be someone else is spamming your AceComm channel with garbage causing it to crash and burn. I had to tell people to update their ancient mods as it was causing rampant havok on my system with old code.

Everything works fine as long as I don't use GRID and it happens in all the BGs and almost every raid group I join. I have kept GRID as up to date as possible.

I used to have a problem like that and assumed it was related to my unit frames. It turned out the problem was an addon that was putting unit buttons next to each unit frame (the now defunct GroupButtons). This probably doesn't help if you're still getting the error when disabling all other add-ons.

I'd suggest completely wiping your add-on data directory. Its a pain, but that has fixed a few problems for me in the past.

Would you also suggest wiping the Saved Variables directory or just the addon?

Edit: Also anyone what files are created by GRID outside the Addon directory when you install it for the first time?

You should remove all your saved variables as well.

If you use the default profile:
<WoW Path>\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\SavedVariables\Grid.lua

If you use per character profile:
<WoW Path>\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Server Name>\<Character Name>\Grid.lua
