This doesn't truly pertain just to Grid so if its off topic apologies in advance

Recently trying Grid+Clique and /stopcasting macro's as an alternative to RDX, I found I couldn't guarantee continual precasting or interruption of a spell and casting of another
Sometimes I get 'That spell is not ready yet' and then a forced GCD
Its definitely tied to either Grid or Clique and shouldn't be occuring, a /stopcast is what it says, thus Grid or Clique is reading the macro as one spell trying to be cast over the previous without taking /stopcasting into account

Does anyone else have this happen or is there some parameter I've missed in my macro?
A typical macro being

/stopcasting
/cast [target=mouseover] Healing Wave

The annoying part is that it doesn't happen every time..

Anybody know how I would get a vertical layout for Grid along the lines of Perfect Raid or some of the modified Pitbull raid frames? I like the look those give but the options are either lacking or for Pitbull lag inducing.

A vertical layout would be wonderful. I made a post about it in the Wowace forum in the Grid thread; basically, you'd have to come up with your own layout. GridLayoutLayouts.lua was suggested to be used as a base and the wiki has some coding stuff I don't really understand.

I've messed with it a little bit but haven't managed to make anything that works. This is my first time trying to do anything with the LUA code. If anyone else already made a layout like this, it'd be appreciated if you would share it

Here's my version so far with Grid:

I'm using standard Grid and Grid manabars.

The thing I love the most about Grid, is the option to add custom debuffs and then add them to the Center Icon. It's just... awsome! Being able to see parasites on illidan and water tombs on morogrim etc etc is just the perfect raidframes imo. I'm using Clique along with Grid btw.

I figured out how to do this last night - download the GridHorizontalLayout mod, and use it. Then you just untick the option "Horizontal Groups" in the Layout menu.

Looks good, up the side of my screen.

You'll find that if you make that macro and just stick it on your action bar and use it, the same thing will happen, so it's not tied to clique or grid. It's just something within the game. You can't really use stopcasting macros correctly with heals. So if you want to stop casting without moving, you need to make a macro that just says

/stopcasting

Though there can still be issues with it, so moving is just your best route.

Thats just the deal, its not an ingame flaw

Stopcast healing with RDX worked flawlessly, and never once in months of using it ever threw me 'That spell is not ready yet' and a forced GCD
Normal stopcasting or chain precasting were all fine, using keybinds/mousebinds made no difference whatsoever

Theres definitely an issue with Clique and stopcast macro's and/or its interaction with Grid

This is probably a very simple problem, but for the life of me i cant work out how to do it.

All i want to do is take the current health deficit text, and change it to how much health they actually have left. I cannot find an option for it anywhere

(Currently only using base Grid mod, with no extras)

Clique has never worked with macros for me in any context. For stop casting and things of that nature I use Spell Binder. Works well with Grid so far.

The horizontal grouping mod does make it possible to make a vertical group ala perfect raid. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

I haven't seen an answer to what seems simple enough, so I suppose I'll just ask..

I've fiddled with creating my own buffs, in particular Prayer of Fortitude and set it to display only when missing, but I cannot figure out how to cause it to display only when out of combat. I've seen people reference having these types of buffs set to display only when OOC, what allows this?

I'm having a weird problem with grid. I don't know how to best explain this, but basically the problem is that some of the square borders are distorted and pixelated, while others are perfectly fine. I've tried shifting the scale and every other option around and all it does is shift the distortion from, for example, one of the bottom frames to one of the top frames. It's really annoying and not very pretty.

This is a problem with graphics somewhere, but how do I resolve it?
