Ok maybe i'm a complete idiot and completely missing it, everyone seems to be using that border for everything these days. I would LOVE to use it, i grabbed Roth's ui, found the border put it into my sharedmedia and attempted using it in say... CowTip, it doesn't show up, tried converting it for UI-Tooltip-Border.blp with BLP2Util and it just appears as griant green blotches.

Where can I download this border in a working fashion?

You got something terribly wrong there.

You don't have to put it in ANY other folder, but "Interface\Tooltips\UI-Tooltip-Border.tga" just create a new folder called Tooltips.

This will replace the standard UI-Tooltip-Border texture, no need for any addon at all.

For some reason the tooltip borders will not show for Cowtip. They do work though for other things, like when I right click my unit frame to bring up the little menu. When I disable Cowtip, Zork's tooltip borders will work for everything.

Your options on editing the default blizzard textures are tremendously, if you look at my latest download (RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting) you will find a "button"-folder under interface. I edited the textures that will come into play when you hover or click a button. I wanted to play with it at first but it looked great so I kept them. This effect is used on the character panel or the spellbook aswell.

Screenshots cannot tell it really but however this one (http://zorktdmog.zo.funpic.de/roth_u...907_225224.jpg) shows the hover effect. If you want to try it our I suggest you deactivate cyCircled at first.

I actually ended up getting around it Zork by just learning how the tooltips were used and creating my own

I now have the perfect UI-Tooltip-Border.blp and have it in SharedMedia using it for all my other Tooltips via CowTip.

Eph, I love that setup. I'd like to try and replicate it but would you mind telling me what is the texture for the unit frames and the fonts you are using?
