It looks fine now because you only have a few buffs, it is gonna look messy once you get into raid situation where you might have 10+ buffs on.

those are quartz buffs/debuffs, but you're point is made just the same hehe. Yeah, once i start raiding, I'll most likely be turning off player buffs, or converting to some other mod like DoTimer for dots/hots. For now I'm either specced balance or feral for leveling, so I only have to worry about my target's debuffs.
I actually might just switch now. With the debuffs where they are, its sometime's hard to pay attention to my rip and mangle debuffs when I'm dps'ing.
Thanks for pointing that out though =) I'll definately be looking into a better way to track buffs and debuffs on mobs. DoTimer seems like the best alternative right now.

That's an amazingly good UI. Keep up the great work!
And if you ever feel like hosting it please do and provide a link, I'd love to give it a go myself.
Here's mine, it's pretty bland but it works-

Thank you for the advice. Now running "Visitor2" on almost everything and the UI does seem to look a little more compact

How can you make it so that the MultiActionBarLeft/Right can inherit the BonusActionBar layout/style which is horizontal. Is that even possible?
Anywho keep up the awesome work

I've been noticing a lot of people saying that about his UI, and I'd really like to know why, 'cause I'm not seeing it. The UI looks nice for a 4:3, sure, but am I missing something on it that I should be taking notice of?
This isn't a knock on Roth's UI(it really is great, just not my personal style), just me wondering why it is getting noticed so much.

Try this:
CodeStuff - rothui - Google Code
local button;
for i = 1, 12, 1 do
button = _G["MultiBarRightButton"..i];
button:ClearAllPoints();
if ( i > 1 ) then
button:SetPoint("LEFT",_G["MultiBarRightButton"..(i-1)],"RIGHT",5,0);
else
button:SetPoint("CENTER",UIParent,"CENTER",-290,0);
end
end

Much of it is due to the incredibly low memory usage of his UI whilst maintaining a crisp, clean graphical approach.

Hmm, most definitely true. I'm hitting 200mb in my raids now...I could certainly use the dumpoff(even though out of raid I'm only at 64mb).
Maybe I'll save my savedvariables and addon folders and go try his out for a day. His UI isn't wildly different than mine, only in a few places(bar placement).

You = 200MB in raid
Roth = 13 (?) MB in raid
See the difference
Seriously when Ijumped over to this lightweight addons its just getting more and more fun. Total addon useage now is around 750kb.

I downloaded Zork's UI and played with it. It's really great and a refreshing approach to UI design. I do have one problem though if you could help me Zork.
I attempted to install addons I need for raiding like omen, xrs, grid, etc and they just arent loading. They show up in the addon list at the character selection screen and are showing as enabled but they won't show in-game. It's like something in your ui is preventing other addons from loading? Is there any way around this? I see that you have those addons working in your raid screenshot so I assume its something I'm missing due to lack of experience with lua.
