That's really the crunch question isn't it. I can't really tell you out front what addons suck, the best thing is to look at the author usually. Addons from authors like Tekkub are usually win. Also, you should try turning on cpu profiling once in a while, try something like OptionHouse at wowinterface, you may surprise yourself that some of your low memory addons actually consume more cpu than you thought.
Desik: Thank you.

Oh, and I'm aware that I don't need to see my own name/level/class, but I kept them there for symmetry.

Hey Eucharion, are you using cyCircled or similar to change Bongos button borders or did you find a way to edit them via LUA ?

From the first post:
Please, follow the guidelines previously established:
1. Don't post questions that ask what X mod or addon is. Wrong thread.
2. Don't ask for compilations. If the author wants to provide one, they can, and likely will.
3. Post links or thumbnails for large screenshots.
|
PRIVATE MESSAGES, PEOPLE. It works like email and it's built into the forum features. You know you want to, I can feel it in the air! And all you have to do is click on the poster's name! It's so easy and fun!

This thread has gotten pretty unwieldy at this point so hopefully asking this isn't in too poor of taste. Recently respecced to resto from feral and am looking for some nice resto druid UI's for some idea's as far as Grid placement, setup, HoT tracking, etc. If anybody remembers some pics of UI's that cover some of those things could you kindly link them?

Yes, and it was a bit of a pain to do how I wanted. I set the height of Health, Blank, and Power to 4 and set the background to transparent. But I wanted borders on the health and power bars and not over the blank bar, which is impossible to do with Pitbull. The way I worked around it was making custom textures that looked like they had borders and would fit the scale of the bars I had made. I suppose eePanels would have worked too, but I've had trouble getting even sized borders all around, and without being able to attach them to each health and power bar individually I didn't think it would work out (I'm probably going to try this later anyways though.)

I played with thinner bars before. Danm hard to click tho
Eph, you could use the Parenting function off eepanels? For example parent eepanel1 to your target and eePanel2 to eepanel1. As I think you cant parent the same thing twice.

Yep, I meant not to the health and power separately. I've had trouble in the past getting a thin even 1 or 2px border on Pitbull frames with eepanels, but I think I can try get it to work.

Been a while since I've worked on my UI at all, mostly since I took a break from WoW for a while. I think I've tweaked it near perfect for me though. Any advice would be appreciated, as it hard for me to see problems in this UI since I've been working with it for so long.
Oh, and this is meant to be a healing UI as well, no reason you can't hide most things in a healer UI.

Looks good! You could do something to your chat, it looks a bit dull, maybe make the text smaller and change font. Also I'd use different statusbars, but thats just personal preference.

This thread has become a steaming pile of crap, and this is the last post I'm making on the subject. After this, I just start banning people.
- You'll post your UI and you'll list what mods you're using. If you're especially nice, you'll make an upload available. Asking for comments on your UI is also allowed. If you can't provide a mod list or an upload, just keep your UI to yourself. After 126 pages, additional screenshots of random UIs are just going to shit up the place.
- If you don't do the above, you'll make comments about someone else's UI AND THAT'S IT. Send questions and requests via PRIVATE MESSAGING.
If your post doesn't adhere to at least one of the two things I've listed, there will be no sympathy for you when your ass is kicked to the e-curb.

Pretty simple UI for raid healing as a druid. I obviously use grid for healing, but unfortunately none of my HoTs are up at the moment. Basically, there's just a colored dot to show which ones I have up, as well as a timer in the middle showing the remaining time on my lifebloom stack. The color of both the timer and dot tied to lifebloom changes color depending on the stack size (yellow for 1, blue for 2, white for 3).
Unit frames are Pitbull; I was trying out rUnits but I decided to go back to Pitbull for more ease of use, even though I enjoyed trying my hand at implementing my own changes. I still need to work on things, as I haven't had time to play around with Pitbull's new aura containers, but it's sufficient at the moment.
Just started using Buffalo over pBuffs to get them to grow from left to right (I'm inept at coding, so I had no idea how to do it with pBuffs.) Still need to figure out how to apply a Dreamlayout-styling to them, however.
Apart from that, everything else is pretty much straightforward. If you have any questions about addons, feel free to PM me as opposed to posting in the thread.

I like what you did with the portraits, however I would consider filtering out the smaller gains from the on screen combat text, cleans it up a bit and avoids you getting a massive wall of "+41 Mana".
Nice UI otherwise though

I agree. I really like what you did here. It's very informative, yet clean. I'm not a fan of the pixel fonts but it works well with your theme.
