scroll down under "PARENT" is a field you type in the frame name, by default its set to UIParent

And if you want to find out the name of the frame use this macro

/print GetMouseFocus():GetName()

Have to have your mouse over the frame you want to know the name of.

Helped some guildies adjusting my UI to have more buttons visible. It's released as an optional module on both Curse and Wowinterface.

Ryas, does this version of your UI run without showing debuffs on the target? I recall you using Quartz to track your debuffs at one point, but then I think you stopped using that.

Right now I'm finding debuff/buff placement to be one of the trickiest aspects of unit frames. Anytime I come up with or find a good frame layout, the debuffs won't fit in. If I build it around 40 debuff slots, it looks lopsided or I have huge empty spaces.

yeah debuffs are a constant problem for me, I can never seem to find a good way to lay them out that looks good.

Of course people can make this themselves but, if someone can make it ready for other people in just a few minutes of basically pressing about 5 buttons..then why not? the UI is ready and just needed to be uploaded..

Because then you have other people who will download it, then pester the person both ingame, and on the boards for fixes to thing they could fix themselves.

Wowinterface.com has the working update. The manual fix can be found in the 2.2 undocumented features thread I believe.

It isn't exactly a 5 button press, not if you want to do it properly (packing it properly, installation instructions, change logs, notes about your UI etc etc).

You need to have Advanced Mode ticked.

I wish the new rock config had the "class color" check box option for making the health the persons class color. Tapestry, i fooled with the colors, no matter what i do they all stay that dark blue and cant get them the class color EVEN THOUGH the option for "class colors" has all the right colors selected, but its just not working. Any ideas?

True, it can be done quickly; but as a rule of thumb, the less time you spend packaging up a UI and verifying it loads properly for the end user, the more time you'll spend answering the same questions a hundred times over (and usually in-game because some people have no shame).

Yeah, thats kinda correct.
That is one of the two reasons why I generally can't be bothered to upload my configs.

Second is that I spend really hours on it creating it and people just want it for nothing and don't even try to re-make.
What do I get in return other than a little bit of fame?

tbh I'm not sure... It is still not finished, requires some little tweaks - especially the raid setup which I currently do not have a screenshot of yet because I missed todays raid by sleeping a bit too long

More focus @ my UF, because that is the most important thing in pve and pvp.
Also switched back to classcolored healthbars (but just for the UF, not raid - that would disturb me a litte :P)
