Cronus: I use this thing, which makes the borders on the buttons gray and rectangular,
It's blp files so I don't know how to edit them to something else.
Just save the folder in your Interface folder, not addons and it should work instantly.

I'm currently making a new Halo themed UI and I'm not very good at creating custom art with Kgpanels.
I could use some help with making Gradient panels where the opacity is changing, I want it to look pretty
much like this:



But I'm getting this problem where the background isn't chaning opacity but instead I'm getting a
nasty white background which looks like this:



Anyone care to help me out a little please?

Was also wondering if anyone knows (or remembers) how to get GRID into a vertical layout similar to Perfectraid. Used to have it modified at the onset of TBC.

I'm basically looking for an addon that will give me an estimate of the time left in a fight.
IE: Mob has 3 million health max, has 1 million health left, and has been in combat for 2 minutes-- time left ~1 minute. Alternatively (Or additionally), it could estimate it by taking using raid dps on the mob.

Just like many others i really cant stand the gold and guild spam in trade and other channels. I used to have SpamMeNot which filtered everything just fine, and has a nifty autoreport function. However, i noticed that people not on my friend/guildlist were simply unable to send me whispers. I dont receive anything at all, not even if i /w the person in question first.

After rebuilding my UI y'day, i noticed the goldspam again, and remembered i still had to get some form of spamblocker. Thing is, if "randoms" cannot send me whispers when using SpamMeNot, i would rather see if there is a alternative.

I've tried BadBoy, but that doesnt seem to do a thing. All the spam just goes on.

Does anyone here know a good alternative to SpamMeNot, or a possible fix to my problem?

Are you using an up to date version of Badboy?
As posted here the author says that it can be the fault of "another addon for improperly messing with chat filters." He cites SpamMeNot and possibly WIM for being incompatible with Badboy because of the way they "improperly filter chat channels."

I use badboy and ochat with no issue and no spam. I have only ever received one spam message with Badboy on and oddly enough it didn't even contain a website name or url, hehe.

Kimmii, mask your edges in your .tga file using the Alpha channel. In the Alpha channel the section you want to crop out should be black (I think). There is then an option in kgpanels to use the Alpha channel as your mask or clipping path. I don't think it is clearly defined though. It will take trial and error to find the right button.
There is also an option in kgpanels to get the fade to transparent effect you are looking for but surprise, I can't recall under what menu it resides.

Edit: I removed my issue, seems I had bound the shift key without knowing it, unbinding it allowed me to perform shift+click functions again.

I’m currently working on redoing my UI completely, and now I ran into some problems, both with some add-ons not working as I want them to and some ideas where I need help finding the right add-on.

1. I’m using Grid as my party/raid-frame, so I’m not having any normal party-frame (I’m playing a tank, so my party members HP aren’t really that important for me). I want my Grid to be with a horizontal layout in the top of screen, limited to max 25man. Until now I manage to make it horizontal in raids, with the help of GridHorizontalLayout, although it’s still vertical in party’s (5man), and it doesn’t limit it to 25man (my guild usually raid with rotated people in the last 3 groups(group 6, 7 and 8)). Anyone who got an idea on how to do this?

2. I’m also using kg-panels for some eye-candy, so it’s not only add-ons flying everywhere. I manage to parent some panels to my target frame, but I’m having a hard time finding out how to parent or script it, to only appear when I’m in a party/raid, aka when Grid is shown. I tried to use the frame-identifier -tool in kg-panels, but it doesn’t work with any of the ones I tried with so far. So anyone got an idea how to make a script on how to make the panels show when I’m grouped (both party and raid), or maybe what to parent it to?

3. At last but not at least, I’m looking for some kind of digital/text unit-frame or HUD, I tried out both Digits (only works for my own HP) and TextHUD (not customizable at all) last night, but both of them just don’t cut it for me. So, is there anyone who has any kind of suggestion on an add-on or some other solution for this? Basically I want a Text to show my HP (both percentage and in numbers), my power-bar, and the same for my target. Only text/digits, no bars, pretty similar to Digits just with way more options.

4. Oh and one more thing, if the add-on or whatever the solution for my 3. request can’t do it, then I’ll need some add-on which will allow me to hide blizzards standard unit-frame.

Feel free to come with input for only one of the requests, all help is highly appreciated.

Have you tried OnScreenHealth? Pretty sure it will do exactly what you want. It doesn't hide the default frames though.

I'm having trouble with 2 things that maybe someone here would be able to help me with.
1. I'm using Pitbull as my unitframes and am having a problem finding any options to make it so the Visual Heal module can't expand past the player/target frame when you overheal.

2. I'm having trouble adding in my own fonts to Clearfont. Cartoon Font | dafont.com is the font I want to add but I can't manage to figure it out, is that a bad file or am I doing something wrong? I read that the easiest way to do that was getting SharedMediaAdditionalFonts and putting the file into there. I put the file into C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\SharedMediaAdditionalFonts\Fonts\ but it didn't show up while the fonts that I didn't add myself did. Is there some code I need to add in or what?

I've done a few searches and couldn't find a file named mymedia.txt or anything similiar to that, is it possible that it would be a file that I would add into Shared Media seperately?
