I found very nice Unitframes in the "Share Your Interface" Thread that would perfectly fit into my UI. I tried to copy / rebuild those with PitBull4 but everything seems to be much more difficult than expected. Does anybody have this kind of vertical UnitFrames or know where to get those?

However, there's been a minor complication... now that I've popped the berserking enchant on my staff, it picks up when that one procs as well, which I'm not exactly interested in. Any way to separate those?

If it's a problem with NeedToKnow, it'll probably be a problem with TellMeWhen, too. They use the same underlying buff code.

Unfortunately, I don't think this problem is avoidable. I wanted NTK & TMW to be as flexible as possible, so instead having a giant (but still limited) list of hard-coded options, I made them so that you can track things by name. Which means that different buffs that have the same name (like all the Well Fed buffs) get lumped together. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad.

Perhaps there's a way I could make it possible to track them separately by shift-clicking spells from the combat log. I've added it to my list of things to look into.

It's not Underhood. This is done with Pitbull3, heavily customized. It's not as difficult to do as you think it is. Just needs some time and patience.

For quite some time I've been annoyed by the following problem and I am wondering if anyone knows if a mod exists to solve it. It involves chat frames.

The problem is this. Whenever there is chat activity, I would like to have the chat window have a non-transparent (or slightly transparent) background color. But when all of the text has faded, I want the background color of the chat frames/window to be fully transparent. It's just so ugly looking at 2 black boxes whenever nobody isn't saying anything, and I really can't read the chat as easy when I have my chat background fully transparent permantently. I am using Prat for several chat functions, but I couldn't find this option in here. Any tips for this problem would be appreciated.

It's not exactly what you want but you might want to try MiniChat. It hasn't been updated for quite a while but maybe it still works.
It can minimize / fade out your chatframe after a set time of no activity.

Thanks, it's almost what I want. I have 2 chatframes and it only auto-minimizes if both of them are inactive for X time. Would be nice if it could minimize each chatframe seperately depending on activity in each frame though. At least this is a start!

Can someone point me in the right direction for a mod that shows a color change or glow on their overhead bar for mobs aggroed to you?

Ive tried Aloft. The mob bar will glow to tell me I have aggro ONLY when I have that mob targeted. Can any mod show some from of aggro indication even when you havent targeted that mob on their overhead health bar?

IE The raid pulled 20 aboms and you want to know which ones are targeting you by just looking at their bar without having to tab target through each Abom.

I think what you want is pretty much impossible. The Curse page for Omen Threat Meter says this about AoE threat and targeting:
Blizzard's threat API only allows us to query for threat data on units that somebody in the raid is targeting. This means that if there are 20 mobs and only 6 of them are targeted by the raid, there is no way to obtain accurate threat data on the other 14.

I used to use an Addon in TBC that used to just have a button on the vendor frames to be able to Sell all grey trash items and any set items you selected. Can anyone remember this addon?

You can go to Interface Options/Display. There in the right Area is a drop down box labeled "Show threat warning" with the values "never, always, Instance, party" (by memory, real text could vary, but should give the direction)

This will make your Nameplates "glow" red, when you have aggro, yellow on losing/gaining aggro, no glow when you re not having aggro. Excellent for Trash/Multimob Tanking.

This is standard blizzard ui, most nameplate modifiers (like evl_nameplates) just keep/inherit this glow. Aloft should be able to do the same. Make sure you have enemy nameplates enabled and the mobs are in a range that show nameplates.

And for this:

I might be wrong, but according to the link you provided:
The Blizzard threat API does not return threat data on any mob you are not in direct combat with. We suspect this is an effort on Blizzard's part to save network traffic.
The nameplates are showing "no threat data" when you dont have aggro (incl. there is no threat data). This is of course the case, when you are not directly in combat with that unit.

When you have aggro - on the other side - you are directly in combat with that unit and the Blizzard API can display "You have aggro"
