Unitframes feature issues
I have been searching and reading for quite a while now to find a solution to this issue and have so far been unsuccessful so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I currently use Xperl, and I like it more than any others in most respects. There is one aspect, however, that it falls short in, and I would really like to find a replacement that does not. A long while back I used DUF and my favorite feature about it was that I could move every little element of the frames. In the case of Xperl the size and look of the elements can be changed, but their position is largely out of my control. I can live with this on the player, target, raid, etc, but I don't like that the entire party and all its elements are stuck in one arrangement. I need to be able to move the individual party members and such, but it is not quite that simple. I like the way that Xperl displays party targets and pets so I need these to still be available in a similar fashion. To clarify what I mean I have a couple quick examples of the Xperl and what I like *Here*, and a simple idea of what I want to be able to do. *Here*
If anyone can recommend another Unitframes that will allow me to do this I would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

To edit your .lua file you need to use a program for it, the windows notepad isn't good enough. I recommend notepad2 or notepad++. I had to fool around with it for some time before I got it right, so try yourself with the plusses and minusses until you get a nice result.
To get the borders on the auras you need to download Caith's UI and then use his borders from his Pitbull/aura folder. It's just cut and paste the file into your folder so it overwrites.
Remember to backup these files, since every time you run WAU you will need to replace the files with your backed up files again.
I am very far from an expert on this and had never done anything in .lua before this, so It's perfectly doable if you take the time for it.

Thanks! I'll try that now. =]

Anyone recognise any reason my pitbull is on the fritz? it is the most current version and all that, it just switches off for some frames sometimes.
the background of the frame is there and sometimes the highlight texture, but no information or bars.

Do you have your Combat Fader option checked? I was having a similar issue, among many others, for awhile with my Pitbull. I disabled Combat Faders and it seemed to resolve that issue. You might do this already, I don't know, but make sure, 100% sure, to reload your UI to save the changes and see if it resets to what it was after the UI reload. I really like my options with Pitbull, but the extent of some of the bugginess I've run into tweaking mine recently almost made me turn away, so I feel your pain.

The bar fader toggle didn't solve my problem, thank you for the suggestion, though.

Toggle off the COMBAT FADER not the bar fader. These are two different things.

Yes. ou need to backup the Pitbull_Aura folder and replace it every time you update. Perhaps it's better to only replace the modified files, but Im not 100% on which files are modified and which aren't. the .lua file and the borders are modified for sure at the least

So I can add the textures as background in Eepanels2? Interesting.. Will need to try this out.

Kinda hijacking the threat, but...
I'm having a similar problem, but only with the latest version of PitBull (well, both r56079 & r56079.6), and only my Focus frame. It's my only unit frame with a portrait (sheeping...), and also had highlighting/debuffs/health bar. (Screenie coming when I can)
After I focus the focus frame becomes black (the background colour, the health bar and portrait are not visible) and no auras are visible.
Combat/Range faders are permanently off. I have tried turning off various modules/options in an attempt to isolate the problem, but no success. Reloading/relogging also do nothing.
Reverting to an old version of PitBull (pre-Rock, still can't decide if I like it or not) fixes the issue, but somehow managed to disable all Quartz bars except Mirror, so now I'm back with the latest version, and sheeping blindly.
Any thoughts?

Presumably you're talking about Pitbull. If that's the case, check your other bars to see if they're also the same. In Pitbull, all the bar heights are relative to each other, so if you're only (as an example) showing health and mana bars, and one of them has 1 height for health and 1 height for mana and the other has 4 height for health and 1 height for mana, they'll look vastly different even though the mana height is the same.

Yeah, I was messing with mine last night trying to duplicate the problem I had. I was thinking that it could be hilight-related, both for your targetted unit and debuff hilighting. You might try turning the various hilight modules on and off. I still can't remember for sure how I fixed mine.

Make chat's background 0 alpha, use an eepanel for backdrop, and the strata issue doesn't come into play.

If someone is able to help me it'd be awesome. I can't figure out how to change the font used by FuBar - is it possible to alter its font, and to what extent? Can I also make every FuBar-addon (MiniPerfsFu, DurabilityFu) use a different font?
I can't find it anywhere in the .lua files, and I don't really want to change the font in the World of Warcraft/Fonts folder as that would spoil my UI.
Thanks in advance!

I tried it, both my player frame and target frame height for health and power bar (thats all im showing) is 12 for health and 1 for mana. If i were to show you a picture of what it looks like do you think you would be able to get a better idea of what it looks like? Yes they are pitbull btw. Ill get a screenie tonight when i get a chance, i just dont get why even thought height for health and mana are the same my targets mana bar is slightly bigger mking it look uneven. Thank you btw =)

Definitely post a picture. If you're absolutely sure you've only the health and mana bars enabled, and the height on them is identical as well as the height in the size options, I don't see how they should be different. But a picture might illuminate things a bit more.

Here is a picture, i use the same unitframe for all my characters and this is what the mana bar looks like. Can you see the target unit frame mana bar bigger then my player mana bar? This is even though there both 1 height and both health bars are 12 height.
