This error message was introduced in the patch to help addon developers avoid function calls which end up tainting unexpected parts of the UI. Basically, you get the error message when you try to do something (to the UI) in combat that is not allowed. Try updating the addons themselves to see if the problem's been fixed already, and if the message doesn't go away then you may want to forward a copy of your error log to the developers of the addon which caused the problem to help them fix it.

Yes, there is a new Bongos out. However, it's not all of Bongos that is causing problems, just one specific new option. Open your Bongos configuration, go to Action Bar, and disable the show spells and buffs on bar* option. After I disabled that on my Bongos setup, I had no further issues.

* I can't remember the exact wording, but it's something like that.

Yesterday, I decided to fix something of my UI. After all the works done, I found there are 4 frames which are Blizzard quest frame, timer frame, item dura and CaptureMover frames. They are open to move but I don't know which addon contron them and how can I lock or remove them. If anyone can help me?

No, I don't, I just have the basic stuff. The only thing I've changed from the default set up is the bar and background. I turned those off completely so it's just the icon and the text.

I love being feral, but last night as my guild killed bloodboil in BT i found myself straining to click as many threat buttons as I could to pull it off the tank. This is when I found that my UI sucked. Ive always been looking for a UI that i like but can never find one.

Some of the mods Im running right now are:
Cartogrpher (Love this mod)
Gatherer(Love this one to)
Omen
Autioneer (Going to be deleted soon causes to many problems)
Scrolling Combat Text (Love this one as well)
Scrolling Combat Text: Damage (Love this way better then the blizzard one)

I wish I could post what my UI looks like right now unfortunately Im at school. I will post a pic of my UI when I get home through. But if anyone can help me. Id like to keep the few addons I listed above. But Im looking for something that will make my life easier, not just with know how much threat I have, but also something with some cooldown timers. Im such a noob when it comes to building UI's. It will take me hours and It just wont feel right.

Can anyone recommend a good clock addon? I have a spot in my interface where a clock would go nicely, but all of the addons I've been able to find hook into either Fubar, titan or the minimap.

I'm looking for a standalone clock mod that I can put in a 100x100 section of my interface - ideally I'd like to be able to change the fonts and colors to match the rest.

For some reason, the addition...

-- Deaden Block for RoS

...after line 237 no longer works. Until 2.3, I have used Quartz with the above addition on RoS for kicking, inserted after line 237, but now Deaden is displayed on the castbar.

Can someone help me get rid of Deaden on the castbar again?

Anyone knows if this is a bug of Aloft (nameplate addon) or there's an other addon doing this?

There is an empty bar-like thing below the cast bar. If I turn off cast bars in Aloft it doesn't appear.

Ahh, I also have the "empty bar-like thing".

It only happens occasionally , so I can not really reproduce it reliably.

Try SLTimex.

Get it from Ace.

For me it happens all the time (whenever the mobs are casting a spell).

Wanted to ask and this thread is probably a decent place to, is there anyway to get wow to save its own scrolling combat text settings? I can't get the Healing support to stick thru sessions, and it even drops everytime I load a new zone. It's annoying cause I'd rather see the healing I'm doing on the people I'm healing than on SCT in the middle of my screen.

Did you update Quartz recently? patched it back in? make sure you put it into correct spot.
Rogue of my guild who uses it didn't complain last week, so I assume it's fine.

I use my own small addon hiding blizzard default castbar which I prefer to use over Quartz just because I feel rogue doesn't really need any castbar addons.
