Yes. I switched to Mapster as a replacement for Cartographer2 when I went to a single-display setup, and it was working fine for my needs then. But it doesn't have an always-up or escape-doesn't-close option like Cart2 did.

Side question: Anyone know of an addon or way to disable chat window information from being stored server-side or of resetting it via addon when you log in? It's annoying when you have two WTF folders you're renaming for different setups (using the HDTV as a monitor vs using two regular monitors, for example) and then the chat windows get screwed up between the two because the game tries to force the chat settings of one setup on the other setup.

EDIT: Here's the setup I'm working on. It's still a little in progress; one thing I'd like to do is put a nice custom background on the right to delineate the different chat areas and Skada windows and such. There's more Skada windows behind the map, but I'd like to be able to leave it open whenever possible.

Does anyone know the MoveAnything panels name to move the overlays for procs like Bloodsurge (as you can see at the center of the screenshot)? I could just turn it off, but I really don't mind it. It obviously doesn't work with the viewport restricted like this, though. The framestack tooltip just says something like "table: 136AEFB8" that's different every time, so I'm not sure if it can be moved or not.

I'm not sure of the panel name, but nibSpellAlertConfig : Buff, Debuff, Spell : WoWInterface AddOns can move that particular piece of the UI for you.

You could also make custom events with PowerAuras or WeakAuras (I recommend the latter for performance reasons!) and disable the Blizzard spell alerts in the interface options.

Hi!
I have a question about KGPanels and forteXorcist. I want to parent spell timers to a panel, to show only when spell timers are showing. I entered /fstack command and found out the name of the forteX frame, but the problem is it is always "shown" there just isn't anything on it, so my panel is there blank and useless and doesn't fade when i want it to.
Has anybody encountered the same problem and solved it successfully?

Thank you!

Recently installed Aura Frames to take over Satrina Buff Frames job, but I was hoping I could use it to replace Auracle as well.

Currently I use Auracle to track debuff categories, e.g. +Bleed Damage or -Healing Taken. No matter if it's Mangle or Trauma, it'll show one icon with duration running. Similarly, for Wound Poison, Mortal Strike and its variations, it'll show another icon. Rather than needing to track 12 different debuffs in a raid, I can have just one icon up.

Is there any way to replicate this with Aura Frames? I got a debuff watcher for Target setup, but can't seem to consolidate similar debuffs into a single tracker.

//edit: Looks like I got it to work. Make it display only one debuff, based on longest duration and then white list the various debuffs. Just needed to make a tracker for each category.

Hi, 1st of all, would like to say i'm a complete novice when it comes to UI modifications. So far i've managed to get along with the standard UI pretty well (not counting some basic tweaks) but i was wondering if there was a way to alter the font of combat text? Is there an addon that will do this for me?

Thanking you in advance

There are basically two ways of doing this:
1. Create a font directory in your WoW folder, copy your favourite fonts over and name them correctly.
2. Use an addon which does 1. for you.

I guess you want method 2. Use tekticles : Tekkub's Emporium of Random Crap : WoWInterface AddOns, its not convenient in the first place but gets the job done very well. Use the comments on the project page to help you get started.

I am not to sure if they have any sort of site or know of AddOns one can use, that works well with IMacs and such. Since a lot of addons have you use right click, center mouse, and left click. Since Macs do not use such options on the mouse. Does anyone know where and how I can convert these AddOns? Thanks a lot!

There is no converting because these commands are based on hardware events. What addon are you talking about specifically? If it's a click-casting addon (Clique etc.) there are always options to just use the left mouse button. Plus Mac's do have the option to use right mouse buttons

I have a macro/keybinding issue that I can't seem to figure out. I noticed that someone on the very first page apparently had the same issue but I searched and searched and couldn't find any response to it.

Basically, anything I put on a mousebutton binding does not recognize xperl or Grid frames as valid targets. If it's a mouseover macro, nothing happens if I hover over a player in Grid and click the mousebutton. Even if it's just a regular ability on the binding, and I'm already targeting the player, as long as I am still hovering over the frame, it will not cast. I literally have to click to target the player, then move my mouse to an empty space on my screen and hit the mousebutton. Obviously makes binding something to a mousebutton much less handy than it could be.

These mousebutton bindings work when I'm hovering over the player model. And keyboard key bindings interface just fine with all frames.

I use a variety of addons but the relevant one besides xperl and Grid is probably Dominos, which is what I use to bind buttons to mousebuttons or keyboard keys. I'm wondering if it's the culprit becomes xperl frames and Grid frames both experience the same issue. Has anyone else seen this?

Edit: I just disabled Dominos, and using the default Blizzard action bars, the issue was identical.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get rid of the default raid warnings.
I have DBM, so I don't need the default warnings, and they happen to be EXACTLY where I don't want them. They cover up my energy and combo point display.... kinda important. So I'm wondering if there is an addon or some way to mess with my files in order to get rid of them.
Also, it seems like my DBM warnings don't appear where I set them. Has anyone else had this issue?

DBM should be able to disable/hide these, I know BigWigs can.

I apologize in advance for a very newbie question, but I can not seem to figure out a good answer. Here are some details:

I have only been playing for about 2 years and predominantly use the standard WoW UI. I do know how to use addons, but mainly use only basic ones like DBM, GTFO, and a few Rogue Specific ones. I have tried some action bar addons like bartender and dominoes.

I play on a 27" iMac in full screen mode and also have a separate 22" monitor setup as an extension although I do not use it for WoW. It usually has a browser open for use or Itunes.

What I want to do is clean up my WoW screen at the expense of some screen size. I would like to create an area at the bottom of the monitor where I can put action bars, the minimap, recount, and maybe the chat window and that does not take up any of the WoW picture frame. I then plan on using MikScrollingBattleText to display combat data and XPerl to clean up my frames. I have seen tons of UI images that have this kind of display, but I can not figure out what addon is doing this. I have looked at XPerl, Bartender, and Grid, but none seem to do it, or at least I do not know how to do it.

I would like to get an addon that is recent and will be update so I can keep my UI up and running.

Not really sure how to say any simpler than that. I basically want to create dead space on my monitor where I can put other WoW items such as bars/meters. Thanks in advance.

You're looking for a viewport mod. I don't have a recommendation for a specific one, but at least knowing the name should let you browse through popular options on WoWInterface and Curse.

Hey all,

i'm running shadowed unit frames and I'm stuck on one thing, how do I create a health bar that is a static (specific) colour but also shows my health deficit. You can see what I mean below:
