I'm in charge of moving shaman around the raid for bloodlusts. The Blizzard Raid UI is fucking annoying for this mid-fight since it occupies half the screen and is *painful* to drag the names around on. Sometimes it just releases the guy mid move (even though I've still got the left mouse button held down) and drops him into the wrong group, or swaps out the wrong guy. End result, I can't quickly swap people.
I know that the 2.0 changes prevent addons from being able to move groups around with /script or API calls, but does anyone know of something that simply modifies the default blizzard raid panel so that it is easier to use/manipulate?

Hello,
I'm experiancing some troubles with ZuxanaModelCitizen and ZMobDB. What happens it this:
All works fine for a little while, I get happy and excited , then I start getting additional frames while raiding, frames resetting when I change target and other weird stuff. Also after a while I can only play around with the target frame, player frame is somewhat locked (can change size and move it still, but not rotate or change "camera angle" and so on)
Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

On my bottom FuBar Bar in the center my quest tracker shows up there for some reason. And I can't for the life of me figure which one of my mods changed this.
List of mods:
ag Unit Frames
Atlasloot
Bartender3
Cartographer
CooldownCount
CraftList2
cyCircled
DBM
eePanels
ElkBuffBars
FuBar (Alchemy, Bag, Clock, Durability, Group, Location, Mail, Money, Netstats)
Healbot
Improved Camera
Mobinfo2
Omen
oRA2
Outfitter
Prat2.0
sct and sctd
simpleMinimap
Sphereloader
SWStats
Totemus
|
In case my first sentence was hard to understand, my quest tracking appears under my bottom FuBar in the center instead of the default position on the right.

Try this but if it doesn't work, posting a screenshot would help immensly.
simpleMinimap has "movers" which let you move all the little frames around your minimap, right click the map, find Movers in the menu and make sure alpha is set to something you can see and see if the frames are in the wrong place, enabled on/off is at the setting you want to use etc. It's a nice feature of the addon, I'd explain further but I have pasta boiling on the stove and once you play with the options, it's easy enough to work out

For reference: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...Hal_v8Raid.jpg
So, like any self-respecting UI-phile, I saw Hal's newest UI release and saw several things I wanted to incorporate into my own. I've got pretty much everything I wanted to borrow, except for the raid frames. The frames seem to be a vertically oriented version of Grid, which was included in the download, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get them set up like that. I tried fiddling w/ configuration options, swapping the savedvariables (taking the grid savedvariable from Hal's DL and dropping it into the savedvariables in my WTF), and looking back on the grid thread and using the 'gridhorizontallayouts' addon and unchecking the horizontal groups option. I feel like there's something quite basic I'm missing or doing wrong, any help? I'd love to get my grid set up like Perfect raid in a nice, single column. Thanks.

The raid frames on the left look like Pitbull to me. Go into the Pitbull configuration and check out the settings for raid. You can filter groups, change the positioning of texts, enable debuff highliting/auras, group by class, group, etc. You're going to want to use the option for flat, arranged by group by the looks of it, additional options would be to enable range checking on them, disable any auras, and you can enable/disable frame highlighting on debuffs if you wanted to.

Portraits Portraits Portraits
For 3d portraits we have Zuxana, but is there any addon that handles 2d portraits?
I've always liked the default 2d portraits, because you can easily see race, sex and sometimes even class (3d portraits are "okay", but IMO not nearly as good as 2d). Sadly 2d portraits are hard to incorporate in a UI - in a fashionable way - as soon as you scrap the Blizz UnitFrames. I've tried though (I parented a couple of borders to player and target frame):
It doesn't look awesome, so I'd love to have an addon to configure the way 2d portraits are shown ^^

Can someone tell me how to make a dogtag string in CowTip to only show the [Faction] tag for non players. I only want to see NPC's faction in my unit tooltips.

As you can see my unitframe and grid are colored to the same style, grid colors the names of the folk in the raid to their class.
I'm wondering if it is possible to acheive the same with Omen & Assesment (I searched through the options and found nothing that would allow me to do it) via .lua editing.
However I have no experience at .lua editing so I'm wondering if someone could steer me in the right direction.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods (Besides NECB, I don't find it to be modular enough and I always end up displaying redundant information because it's a little lacking in configuration options) that can reliably track the duration of friendly CC's on my target as well as Diminishing Returns on my target?
Any leads would be appreciated - this is a mod that I think any CC heavy arena team could benefit greatly from.

I have been using SLTimex for a while. I recently updated SLTimex and also grabbed SLStats. Now SLTimex dissapears when I switch to a different character, while SLStats stays put. I have deleted it and reinstalled after deleting the saved variables file, and it still dissapears when I switch to a different character.
Any ideas on how I can fix it?

The raid frames I use are actually Pitbull's. I forgot to take Grid out of the addons list before I shared it; my original intention was to hide the party frames in raids and use that area for a Grid layout.

The following is a quote that i got from the priest forums...i was trying to set up these addons to maximize my healing potential and have an all around good UI...Any suggestions that anyone is willing to share would be greatly appriciated!
Useful Addons and User Layout
Typical healer layout has some small variations, but is centered around the idea of having the complete raid in front of you (currently 25 bars+tank targets), with easily observable health totals, and some method of debuff curing.
If you're starting from scratch, the first thing you should do is:
Replace your unit frames: ag_UF or Pitbull
as the base-WoW unit frames are horrid. Set these up in a convenient spot on your screen, and make sure you configure them fully to show health details and debuffs.
Second thing you should do is:
Replace your raid frames: GRID, Pitbull, sRaidFrames and tank targets: oRA2, Pitbull
and make sure you fully configure the setup to show debuffs and buffs easily. Aggro notification is also a neat feature which can warn you of who will soon need heals.
From here, you can pick and choose which addons you'd like to use, starting with:
Custom Bar Mod: Bartender3, Bongos. Something to let you organize, hide, and keybind all your abilities. Setting up a hidden bar that contains your primary 10+ keybinds is a great way to free up some real estate on-screen.
and adding some raid utility:
Omen/Threat-1.0: useful to tell when the tank is going to lose a mob which will subsequently eat me for lunch.
Deadly Boss Mods, BigWigs: timers, boss warnings, aggro notifications, all sorts of handy things.
and then add some personal organization:
ArkInventory, AllInOne: bag mods to help organize your crap. ArkInventory is especially good because it allows for custom rule-sets which divide up your stuff into little categories (like consumables, potions, dps gear, etc).
Prat: organize your chat tabs in an efficient way, and add some fun features.
FuBar: extremely useful addon, with some amazing little plugins. Give it a try. One you should definitely get is RegenFu.
Quartz: infinitely useful for /stopcasting. Definitely recommended.
SCT: very useful as a visual tracker for healing and overheals, without having to watch a combat log scrolling by. Alternative from Ace2 is Parrot

PitBull can only show the portrait left, center or right of the unitframe. I'm looking for something with more flexibility - like the addons that show 3d portraits (cropping, resizing, borders and stuff).
