Is there any way to have grid display castable buffs similar to how pitbull shows them?

If you want to have an icon (or a dot or whatever) show up when a certain buff isn't on a certain class, get GridStatusMissingBuffs. It comes default set up for stuff like MotW on everyone, AI on non warriors/rogues, etc. You can add in your own custom settings too, if you really want to make sure every Class X has Buff Y.

I'm trying to get Parrot to display when items are off their cooldown, ie, "Icon of the Silver Crescent Ready!", but couldn't find out on google. I installed Cooldowntimers2 and it gets the job done, but there's a bunch of extra junk I don't want on my screen.

If you don't mind the overhead of having an extra mod installed, then you could try Cooling2 @ Curse and just set all of its buttons' alpha values to 0. That way, you won't have to see them, but you'll still get the message in Parrot when the item's finished. I'd suggest Hourglass @ WoWAce, but it's basically a bell-and-whistleless CoolDownTimers2.

I don't believe NECB has this option, but Antagonist @WoWAce might.

When it comes to UI design I am absolutely clueless. I keep seeing user interfaces which look similar to the one in this video
WarcraftMovies.com - World of Warcraft Movies I was wondering if someone might give me some idea of what mods are used and how I can make my interface look like this. Sorry for the noobish post, just remove it if, it's not appropriate.

I have been looking at the works of various custom UI creators (Ryas, Caith and others) and one thing that I love about their UI's is the matching color of every frame. I'm sure that it was all done manually, but I was wondering if there is an addon that could change the color, gradient, etc. of all or multiple frames without having to go through every frame separately. Thanks in advance!

You're right - usually everything is done manually. However Skinner can try to do it all (or a lot) automatically. Can't say I like the way it turns out, but give it a shot anyway - you might like it

Edit: Btw, Does anyone know a good Notepad-like addon? Something simple and lightweight.

Is there a way to get a textured backdrop in the character frame(with the rep pannel/skills/pvp) using skinner? I cant get it to be anything but colorless(clear).
Any help would be much appreciated

As you can see I've kinda got my UI set up the way it feels most comfortable. My question is when i use my /focus macro i get this error

Message: Error: AddOn Prat attempted to call a forbidden function (FocusUnit()) from a tainted execution path.

Zziak Gallery, Zziak Image Gallery - FileFront.com (pic of the problem)

The same thing happens if i try to use any macro, or even typing /tar (palyers name).

Is there something im missing, or am I just dumb, I'd imagine it's the later. Any words of wisdom would greatly help.

Another question is: Is there a way to fade Aperture to say 50% so that i might be able to see whats behind the boarder, or is there another viewport mod that will do the smae as Aperture but a bit more customizable?

Oh, and one last question, if you look at my chat log you can see Prat shows anyones chat line as say

(Time) < players name:line number(41 for instance)> playes text blah blah.

Is there a way to not show the number line, I've looked for a while to try to find a way to modify it, but either I'm overlooking it, or it doesn't exist. Someone mentioned that it should be the lvl of the char speaking, but this doesn't seem to be the case as I've seen it go up to 1000+ in posts.

Yea, use the texture as the default backdrop, and set it to the correct tile size. The texture needs to be in some form of 2^x by 2^x dimension, in .tga format. If you put the file in you skinner folder, then the path would be \\Interface\\Addons\\Skinner\\texture.tga

Unknown error and Cart_Routes prob.

Hey,

I got this messages spamming my bugsack:
[2007/12/30 01:44:13-1350-x36]: <string>:"UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UI":1: '=' expected near '<eof>'

For a normal session it goes way past 100-200 errors. I haven't got a clue to where the problem could be arising. Can anyone here make any sence of this and give me a hint on what could be causing this error?

Another problem I'm having is if I enable Cart_Routes and optimize a mining route then every time I mine a deposit my screen lags through the mining cast - not minor lags, but really big chunks. When I mine something in a zone without the routes it's perfectly normal. I don't know if it's supposed to be this way? It's getting a but intolerable.

All help is much appreciated!

I was wondering, because I have photek is there a way to do a mass reconstruction of the layout.

I was looking at a mage pvp video and I saw this guy used the same stuff as me and yet he had a better lay oyt, and I being a mage am always looking for the best layout to use to be more effective.

YouTube - Oblivinati:World of Warcraft Mage PvP 8 Part 1 of 2

thats the video where it shows his lay out and all his addons that he uses.

if anyone knows how I can achieve a layout similar to that then plz let me know.

thanks =)
