I am using parrot, pitbull, and dogtags, but none of the dogtag [tags] are showing any info, just exactly what I type into the [Tab] field in the "Heal" or "Skill damage" sections.

Do I need to enable something in pitbull/parrot to get them to display the info of "[NumAura(Deadly Poison VII)]?

What I'm trying to do is make all incoming heals and damage on pitbull show me my health%.

I also would like target's health% after my damaging skills.

Most, though, I would like it to display the number of stacks of deadly poison on my target when I gain combo points.

I thought adding the line "[NumAura(Deadly Poison VII)] DP" would change the output of combo point gain to "# CP / # DP, but it just shows the exact text "[NumAura(Deadly Poison VII)]"....

Any ideas?

In search of

Hello and thanks for reading this.

There are numerous add-on sites and unlimited add-ons to pick from. Since I play very different classes (heal/melee/caster) I cannot make a nice slick UI even if I would like. But I get by with loose add-ons positioned on screen.

What would make my life alot easier is the following and I cant find it anywhere (I searched long and hard).

An add-on that gives me a countdown timer ON the actual button (standard blizzard bars in my case). And for the short buffs/abilities.

Since a lot of debuffs/buffs/cc/shouts run on short time (30sec or less) it's always a waste of mana/rage/energy to apply them to early and an even bigger shame to apply to late... It's a pain to watch the debuffs on a boss and the timers on my own buffs I miss because I'm watching my bars and the fight and all the other stuff I need to do when I lead a raid. Since I watch the buttons already it would be a god-send if I could see when something runs out at the same time.

A countdown on the actual button would let me know the best moment to use 'Rampage' again, when to 're-sheep' or when to 'judge a seal' on the boss for example.

I found many add-ons that give me bars that show this but it would fill my screen even more and give me yet another thing/place to watch. And I did found almost the thing I need but that add-on (OmniCC, OmniCC - Interface Additions - World of Warcraft Mods, Addons, and More! ) only shows cooldowns in time, on the button, for longer duration abilities like 'heartstone' or 'avenging wrath'

If I could I would make it myself, but I cant sadly.

Does anyone here know an add-on that can do this or maybe a UI kinda thing that has this option?

ClassTimers should work for what you're looking for.

I read Banhammer posts when I'm having a bad day.

The complete inability to move or change anything(and when that means tooltips are in the middle of the screen...thats gg)
hahah yea thats my only problem with it and i have like no experience with Lua.

texture scaling

I am having some issues with texture scaling for textures with thin lines around them. I am using Rothar's UI with the minigloss.tga as the border for buttons. However, as you can see from the image, the bottom line of the top row of middle buttons is missing, as are several parts of the right-side button borders. Does anyone know how to counteract this?

The border is of course supposed to go all the way around the icon, but sometimes, for an unknown reason, it doesn't.

The Washington Post helps perpetuate a common and pernicious misreading of the decision, referring to "the Supreme Court’s judgment that corporations have the same rights as people when it comes to political speech." What the Supreme Court actually said is that people do not lose their free speech rights when they organize as corporations, including nonprofit interest groups as well as businesses.

After setting up my UI again, getting everything out of the way apart from some minor tweaks, I've hit a dead end. That dead end being my inability to remember (I swear I've been able to do it before!) how to apply a texture to Grid's bars.

Anybody with the knowhow to point me in the right direction?

Does anyone know a way to completely truncate the words out of parrot? Right now I can only truncate them down to one letter. So right now it appears as:

number/ability/icon

when I want it to appear as:

number/icon

Thanks.

Curious if anyone knows of a way to fix this. Trying to use Sethik's UI in a resolution other than 1680x1050, and I'm having some problems displaying it correctly, naturally. Would there be any way to get the UI to display correctly on 1280x768? If it helps, here's a screen shot:

Edit: Nevermind, solved my problem with Bartender/Pitbull settings.

So I figured out how to make Parrot let me truncate down to 0 but then I just get a (...) instead of nothing like I would like. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure how lua savvy you are, but I'd find that particular field in the lua and just comment it out.

Yeah I don't really have any coding background at all but I managed to get rid of the "..." it's just the () still remains and I'm clueless with how to get rid of that.

I'll download Parrot and see what I can do, but if anyone has a chance to get to it before me (AP Calc test for the lose) feel free to.

I'd imagine you'd just have to find the text that displays the ability name and take it out. The "()" should lurk nearby.
It should be it's own separate value from # of applications and icon.

Hmm, yes I hadn't thought of that, I'll give it a whirl.

Edit: Ok I have it figured out, the raid is about to start but afterwards I'll post back in case anybody else wants to use it.

I'd say the problem is with the difference in UI and rBar scaling. He himself has UI scale at 1.0 and to me it seems that you're using some value under that, if you want to keep your currently UI scale you should propably tweak around with the rBars.lua. There's a section "SCALE" which has a variable called "local myscale", it's set to 0.80 on default. Change it to fit your needs.

Ok this is a little bit confusing. Download this:

parrot.zip

In the parrot folder there is two subfolders named Code and Data. In each file is a file named "Combat Events." You have to replace the one in Code with the "CombatEventsCode" file (delete the old one and rename this one CombatEvents) and then do the same with "CombatEventsData". It's not completely 'polished' yet because I wanted to get to bed but I'll finish up every event in a little while and give them to you if you want. I kind of think I'll keep incoming names though since I am not familiar with every abilities icon in the game so yeah. Tell me if you have any problems. If you don't want to scroll up what this should do is remove the name of the ability from parrot so it will just show the number and the icon. Make sure you turn on Truncate and move it down to zero.

I've been using Class Timers over NECB lately because, you know, the bloat, and I absolutely love it. Except I had to go to hzfrosty for my elemental timer. It works reasonably well, except the bar texture doesn't actually match the rest of my bar textures. I poked around in the LUA hoping to figure out how I could assign it to use the bar textures found in Shared Media, but no luck.

If anyone has an idea, or, heaven forbid, an amazing Ace alternative I would be much obliged.

trying to find a working debuff counter

Our raids run with far to many classes that use debuffs. I have been using Debuffcounter DebuffCount | World of Warcraft Addons | Curse to try and keep track of the number of debuffs on a mob.

It pretty much does what I want it to, moveable/scaleable debuff counter. The problem is that it doesnt always work, this could be due to the fact that it has not been updated in over a year. Are there any other mods out there that can do this?

Hi everybody, I recently made the switch from Bongos to Bartender3.

I'm looking for an addon that will show spell countdown inside of the bars (instead of bartender3's hourglass). For example, when I cast howl of terror, I want it to countdown from 30 to 0 numerically.

My friend told me that CT_Core can do this but I tried it and was getting a lot of errors. If anybody is able to use it, could you please post it and any of the other CT addons you have enabled? When I tried it, I disabled every addon but CT_Core and CT_MailMod.

A friend told me how Quartz>NECB, so I made the switch and have liked it so far. Few questions though:

Under the configuration, there are several confusing tabs:

Global Cooldown (what does it do and how do I assign a primary spell?)
Swing (what does this do?)
Timer (What does this do?)

Is Quartz a replacement for NECB or just a better Focus/target monitor? I know NECB can detect spells from everybody whereas quartz only does focus and target.

Quartz is kind of a replacement. You basically answered yourself. It's a fully ace cast bar mod that covers focus, player, and target. NECB can do other things like track CD's and other junk. Some people consider it a bloated mod and like to use other mods to cover other uses (PVP CD's, respawn timers, etc).

Global Cooldown, although I havn't used it personally, I think just times your GCD based on a certain spell of your choosing.

Swing has a bar showing your swing timer for swinging a melee weapon.

Timer is just a section used for creating a timer like deadly boss mods can do. It's possible to set a timer bar with a name and time I think.

Great, thanks! What are some other mods ppl use to track pvp cooldowns?

Also, does anybody know how to get the GCD portion of quartz to function? I tried typing a few spells in there and it didn't work.

Use an instant spell that starts the GCD. I use Find Minerals and Find Fish

rFilter by Zork

Concerning Zork's newest creation, rFilter: http://zorktdmog.zo.funpic.de/roth_u...708_225435.jpg
Zork created a little Addon, similar to pDebuff-Filter, reduced to the needs of a prot-warrior. It is created in German, so a little LUA-Editing is needed. I basically just replaced the german skillnames with the english counterparts, as it seemed as if there was nothing more to change.
The result is that rFilter just posts a list of debuffs with their number of applications on the current mob in the chat-window, but the frames showing the applied or missing buffs don't change.

Did someone skilled in LUA-Editing already have a look at the addon, and is able to give me a hint for "translating" it? And is it possible to disable the output in the chat-frame?
