I needed some help with Pitbull. I downloaded the suggested addons from the Priest Holy Raiding Compendium thread and I loved the features this addon provided. What I was specifically having trouble with was setting the party frames. The spacing was giving me alot of issues and I saw a picture in another thread somewhere with someone using this addon and they had each person's health bars seperate and their targets above that. I was looking through the options and had a fairly rough time finding the right settings to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

So what I'm looking for is a really simply light-weight mod that would let me show my SnD (and ONLY my SnD) buff in either a small move-able bar, or even simply the ability to drag the default SnD buff pic with the default seconds left. I know that things like Natur's enemy cast bar will do countdowns on buffs, but that doesn't seem like a very light weight solution given that I DO NOT want bars for any of my other buffs. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
I think you can use Class Timers and only use the player module, then disable everything and manually enter SnD.

I'm keep seeing these folders with all add ons in them and it seems like all the nested libraries are pulled out and there for the world to see, specifically the Ace AddOns like Cartographer and PitBull. Is there an inherent benefit to putting everything at the top level like that? What about the specific Ace lib folders? I'm not keen on having a 2 mile long addon list when i'm in the AddOn picker in game, but if putting it all up front has a benefit I'm game. I'm not keen on having 40 copies of AceLib 2.0 sitting on my system and It wouldn't take much persuasion to put it up top.

Help with overhead icons

Just today I entered Karazhan and the raid icons did not show up along with any quest icons. Also, the circle that surrounds the enemy your targeting on the ground disappeared also. I don't know what is causing this but I have a feeling it's pitbull.
Is there an option that hides the visible raid targets and target circle?

Here is a picture along with mod list. In the picture the Target of Target shows the skull but there is no visible skull. Edit: Targeting the big arcane anomaly.

The biggest benefit is that if your addon uses a library, and it's not separated from the addon as you've seen, the addon author must update the library themself. This isn't a huge problem in itself, but WoW loads addons alphabetically, and the first version of the library loaded is the one used. So if you have a threat mod named Aaaahhh! which contains a version of Threat-2.0 which hasn't been updated since right after 2.4 came out, and a current version of Pitbull, then Pitbull will use the outdated Threat-2.0 instead of its own, current copy. Bringing the libraries out to be loaded separately ensures that all addons use the same, most-current version.

Check "Grouping" - it's somewhere in there. And remember to enable configuration mode.

Eepanels Problem

Today I was bored and messing around with my UI. I proceeded to make a new panel, and when I tried to change the transparency, it just goes white.

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/9...8015633yk1.jpg

I have been trying to look around on the possibilities on what is going on. I have been using Eepanels2 for a long time and have configured it and all that good stuff after patch 2.4, but for some reason this is happening out of the blue and cannot figure out how to fix it. I have tried to change the background blend, color, etc., and still can't find the problem.

In the picture it is color black with 50% transparency. If anyone can give me a heads up, I would be very much appreciated.

Blend mode should be set to mod or blend, rather than add? I believe this would cause what you're seeing.

I've been having an issue since 2.4 where I've been unable to roll on loot in groups. Although I can see the loot on mobs, when I click on an item I get the message "This item is still being rolled for" and I don't get the "Need / Greed / Pass" options coming up. Anybody else had the same issue? Any help appreciated - thank you

Eepanels with Raid Frames

I was wondering what is the lua script for getting eepanels to resize with grid. I wanted my eepanels to look like my other frames, but I can't manage to get them to stay. I read that I need AceHook, but I have not the slightest clue on where to get that. If anyone can help, I would be very much appreciated.

If it helps, here is a screenshot of my current UI:

and my Addons that I am using:

Are you using Bongos? If you are, your roll bar is not visible. Other than that, I have no clue on why you aren't able to need/greed/pass.

Why is it, for some reason, only when im in single target mode for omen, when warnings are off, my screen edges still turn red. I even turned off screen edge flash in interface options > display > screen edge flash. Thats checked off, so why am i still getting red edges on my screen during certain points in combat =/?

So I've recently changed my ui around and put my mini map in the bottom of my screen, but I can't seem to find an add on that will allow me to move the blizzard buffs. I'd like to continue using their buff system since it frees up a lot of space on the screen while compared to EBB. If there is an add on that I can move them with or an add on that uses the same functionality as the blizzard system it would help out a lot.

Satrina's Buff Frames 2 (check wowinterface.com for this, though it's also in the WAU) also works, and has a bit more functionality besides. Alternatively, I *think* recent versions of EBB have an icon/timer display mode that you could use instead of the bars, but I don't use it myself, so I might be imagining that.

eePanels2

I've been trying to mimic the PitBull frames of Caith's UI, but I encounter errors trying to unzip the files he posted links to in his thread, here.

Missing that, I have been trying to mimic them sans files, and as a first time eePanels2 user, am having some issues there that the wowace thread and the wowace wiki on it aren't helping me with.

First, if I simply create a new panel, add a LUA script to color the border according to the Player's class (my class), the border simply never changes colors from white, even if I reload my UI, exit the game and relog, etc.
function eePanels2:PlayerFrameVisibility(self, event, ...)
    local _, class = UnitClass("player");
    if class == "WARRIOR" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.780,0.611,0.431,1)
    elseif class == "PRIEST" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,1,1,1)
    elseif class == "DRUID" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,0.490,0.0392,1)
    elseif class == "HUNTER" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.6705,0.8313,0.4509,1)
    elseif class == "MAGE" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.4117,0.8,0.9411,1)
    elseif class == "PALADIN" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.9607,0.5490,0.7294,1)
    elseif class == "SHAMAN" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.1411,0.3490,1,1)
    elseif class == "WARLOCK" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.580,0.5098,0.7882,1)
    elseif class == "ROGUE" then
        eePanel2:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,0.9607,0.4117,1)
    end
end
eePanels2:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD", eePanels2.PlayerFrameVisibility)
eePanels2:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_LOGIN", eePanels2.PlayerFrameVisibility)
Second, most of the time if I create a new panel, and add a script to color the border by my target's class, it also does not work, although mysteriously it DID work for one time that I tried it. Note that I am reloading UI often, and definitely after removing any panels or scripts.
function eePanel1:TargetFrameVisibility(self, event, ...)
    local _, class = UnitClass("target");
    if class == "WARRIOR" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.780,0.611,0.431,1)
    elseif class == "PRIEST" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,1,1,1)
    elseif class == "DRUID" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,0.490,0.0392,1)
    elseif class == "HUNTER" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.6705,0.8313,0.4509,1)
    elseif class == "MAGE" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.4117,0.8,0.9411,1)
    elseif class == "PALADIN" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.9607,0.5490,0.7294,1)
    elseif class == "SHAMAN" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.1411,0.3490,1,1)
    elseif class == "WARLOCK" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.580,0.5098,0.7882,1)
    elseif class == "ROGUE" then
        THIS:SetBackdropBorderColor(1,0.9607,0.4117,1)
    end
end
eePanel1:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD", eePanel1.TargetFrameVisibility)
eePanel1:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_TARGET_CHANGED", eePanel1.TargetFrameVisibility)
Note that I am doing the obvious thing, and changing where it says eePanel1 or eePanels2 to be the name of the panel listed at the top of the script I have added, so I'm not making that basic mistake.

I am testing these panels without even binding them to a Pitbull frame by changing their parent or anything, just watching the default sized panel in the middle of my screen.

Bongos3

As a prot paladin and someone that uses my mouse for movement and hotkeys for spells/abilities/macros exclusively, I have a LOT of hotkeys (50+, all hitable with my left hand in normal typing position and my right hand on my mouse).

I had an idea to take advantage of Bongos3's new Action Set capability. I set up a bar that was 6 columns x 3 rows. I gave it three action sets, and configured it so that shift- brought up action set 2 and alt- brought up action set 3.

I generally have around 18 hotkeys that do not involve shift- or alt-, then shift- versions of those, then alt- versions, so my idea was that the shift- hotkeys would be on action set 2, alt- on action set 3, saving screen space, and allowing my buttons to be larger so the cooldowncount was more visible on the primary ones, etc (lot of advantages with my UI, lets say).

However, it looks like each button on that bar shares hotkeys with the other 2 action sets. Fine....so, for example, on one button I bound the following hotkeys: 5, shift-f, alt-5 and put a different skill on each action set.

Things seemed to work fine. I hit 5, it casts max rank Consecration. I hit shift-f, it casts Seal of Wisdom. I hit alt-5, it casts rank 1 Consecration.

BUT, what I noticed is that if I hit shift-f fast enough, it would take effect before bongos3 had a chance to switch the bar to action set 2, and shift-f would cast max rank consecration. It wasn't just mis-hitting shift-f either, because even if I accidentally hit f without shift being down yet, it would not have cast consecration (it would have triggered my /assist macro).

Anyone set up action sets to work like this effectively? If it isn't possible to get around the problem, is there an alternative way to have a bunch of hotkeys bound to skills/spells that don't have to take up space on my screen?

Since 2.4, I and many other guild members have been experiencing horrible framerate lag during any sort of AE. Noticable for myself during Illidan Flame Burst initially, and today in Karazhan on anything where seed of corruption is being used a lot (Illhoof). People have suggested its the new combat log, and to remove the window completely, which I did, to no avail. Also tried resetting chat defaults, again, no help.

It seems fairly widespread, does anyone know the cause and/or fix? Its extremely frustrating to have any sort of framerate lag post-patch when I had zero pre-2.4.

I recently started playing a second account. In general, I tend to use a lot of mods and often play around with new layouts and UI setups; when playing multiple accounts, global changes made on one account do not reflect in the other. I also use a lot of mods which track statistics across characters (i.e. How much gold I have on every toon, what are the bank contents of all my toons, etc); obviously this does not work directly with multiple accounts.

I play on a Macbook Pro running OSX and seeing how its a Unix based system I figured I'd set up the following structure for my WTF/Account folder

Default (Contains the actual settings)
Account1 (Symbolic Link to Default)
Account2 (Symbolic Link to Default)

In theory, this seems to be working fine. I can access Account1 and Account2 as normal, create files, delete files and all that good stuff. But in practice, when I load WoW, none of the settings are saved upon logout (and in fact none of my old settings which I copied are even applied). It seems like WoW does not recognize Symbolic links for some reason, but don't quote me on that

Does anyone know whats going wrong here? Or alternately, has anyone successfully set up a multi-account WTF folder where the Account settings mirror each other?

EDIT: I should mention that I do not have Leopard so I can't create hard links to directories.

Has anyone been having problems with MendWatch since 2.4? I haven't found a reliable working copy yet, and it hasn't been updated for a week now.

It always catches who my initial PoM target is, but doesn't show it bouncing around after that.

I know this has been asked before, but I've been searching for quite some time now and haven't found an answer. Not sure if it hasn't been answered or if I'm just searching all wrong. Disclaimer: I'm still new to UI's, so I appreciate any input I can get.

I've been tinkering with my pitbull unit frames for a while and have decided that I like how Caith's are most and would like to use the general layout. I'm also trying to learn how to do these things on my own as opposed to DLing the ready-made UI and tweaking it (mostly because I really only want to mimic the unit frames and not the entire UI).

What I like about it:
- Health/Power text is colored (I can't figure out how to change it from white)
- Health/Power text is in it's own box separate from the unit frame (is this done in Pitbull, lua, eepanels or...?)
- Health percentage changes color as it goes lower (I haven't tinkered with this, but as I stated above, I can't seem to get the color to change from white)

How is all of this acheived? Is it just a matter of changing the lua? Is it a DogTag thing? Am I better off DLing the UI, removing elements and then reconstructing?

Edit: Just in case I'm totally retarded... I went to Bellum Forum and noticed the 2.4 - Working Pitbull Settings link. Is this all I needed? If so, I feel rather sheepish.

Well the little boxes below the actual unit frames are made in eePanels, so those Pitbull settings aren't all you need. But they do help.

I'd download the UI and install the Pitbull parts. You can easily see how he's done it all, so it's a great way to learn how to use PB and DogTags.
