Hey all,
I'm looking for a bit of help with my new ui. Basically, I have been fiddling around with it and gotten the unit frames how I like and in what seems to be a decent position for me (Kudos to OOMM's ui for the idea on them, I originally had them split like they are but with the text inside each one, much nicer like this, and easier to see the bar). My problem is the Zone/Mini-zone message when you move into a new area is right in the middle of them.
You can kinda see what I mean in this screenshot:
UI Screenshot - Imageshack
The Frostwolf Graveyard message there. Any ideas how I move it? Cant find any options in the addons I have and a google search for move zone change message doesn't give any clues.
Thanks alot in advance!

Hey,
I've had a problem with Skinner for some time now, after an update, my panels started overlapping, and they would stay overlapped even when I disabled the mod. Today I started a new UI from scratch, with a new WTF folder, everything was fine unti I decided to installed Skinner, then my panels were messed up again, even when I had disabled the addon again. I have tried different .lua found in compilation and the problem remains, if anyone has a solution I would be very thankful.
Here is a picture of the problem, with one (Spell Book) and with multiple windows open (Enchanting/First Aid/Spell Book). As you can tell, this is fairly annoying as I can't enchant anything anymore (the trade windows overlaps as well).

Its not as nice as dfilters was, but it is definitely comparable. I'm still hoping dfilters gets fixed or i can figure the bug out.
In the meantime I am having one minor issue with Elkano's Buff Bars.
I have it tracking Rupture and Deadly Poison Debuffs. Is there anyway to have it show only my debuffs and not the other rogues? I've tried a couple things but nothing has worked yet.
Also the person who recommended this mod to me made it sound like it could have some sort of cooldown count, or spiral count. Where is this option at?
|
There should be an option to filter out Timeless auras. This will make it so that any debuffs on your target that weren't put up by you won't show up, as you don't have access to how much time is left on them. It's kind of odd, but it works. It's how I do the same thing on my rogue and Druid.
As for the cooldown spiral, that was a hack I put into the code about 6 months ago, and unfortunately I had to update for 2.4 and lost the changes. I may end up getting back around to it, it does get annoying not being able to see duration without mousing over.

Rampage buff
This probably was talked earlier, but I couldn't find anything useful after 30 mins of looking.
My question is how you guys track rampage duration? I am currently just trying to not miss it by just looking at my buffalo buff bars, but I really would like to have a better, more convienient way to do that. A couple of suggestions or link where you saw someone covering this issue would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

Even though I have been making UIs ever since I first installed the game, I am completely stumped by something really really simple and dumb...
How do I remove the default blizzard XP gain notification? I am using parrot, and it's annoying to have two of them (and i'd prefer to keep parrot handling notifications). Thanks.

ClassTimer with this edit works well and has a good number of options. I use it for tracking Shouts too.
ClassTimer.lua - "line 349 between the "end" and "if duration...""

So...
Does anyone know why my map moves around to different places when I enter a new zone? I currently use Chinchilla as my map add on and I have the map locked in place. It also moves to random places when I click on my Minimap Button Frame (hides my Minimap Buttons) Button...
Would anyone know what is causing this or should I try a new map mod?

There is an option in Chincilla that zoomes your minimap and puts it in the centre of your screen, check it out. There is a keybind for it, could be something wrong there.

I tried to find the same thing, and the answer that I kept getting from various Googles, forums, and chats was, "you can't." I eventually just turned off Parrot's XP notifications and kind of ignored the default Blizzard ones.

WoWInterface Downloads : Rogue : Cutup
Closest I could find. Included is a Deadly Poison Tracker. Hope it works for you.

Try that, you can have it show a ton of other stuff but I simplified mine down to just poisons/sap/blind.

Check out this screenshot I made 2 nights ago:
Notice the "battle shout" bar right under my player frame?
I created a new "SELF BUFF" group, and put all the self buffs there, battle shout, commanding shout and rampage, then drag the group under my player frame. It is very convenient to look at, and it doesn't involve having a new addon that is just gonna put a different textured set of bars there anyway.
I also did that for "SELF DEBUFF", put thunderclap, demo shout in that group, and specified the group for "TARGET", and woolaa, there goes a convenient way to monitor debuffs on targets. (Usually the raid bosses.)
Oh and the addon I use is Elkano's buff bars. You can get it from ace repository, just in case you are not familiar with it!

Hey all,
I was wondering how I can change Omen's statusbar texture true the lua.
After downloading Zork's "rtextures" i would like to add his statusbar to omen, I've found several lines in diffirent files where the mention is made towards the texture "blizzard. thinking that replacing "blizzard" with the path of my prefered texture would solve the problem, it didnt...so I either did it in the wrong lua file or the wrong line or most likely...both.
tnx in advance

In eepanels2, is there a way to make the panels fade in and out? I believe I have heard there is a way to make it fade in when you enter combat and out when you leave combat.
What I am looking for is a way to make it fade in, say, when I make Omen2 visable. When I click the Omen2 icon on Fubar, I want Omen2 to pop up aswell as a panel that is behind it to come up. Is this possible.
I would also like to have one only visable if I have something targeted. (The panel would be behind my target.)
Is there a way to make it fade in in a similar fashion to the way VisualThemes forces things to fade in?

Omen interfaces with SharedMedia, so you can install that (from wowace), and add your texture to SM via the MyMedia functionality (there's a readme for this in this SharedMedia folder).

I do something similar, though I'm using kgPanels, so I'm not sure if eepanels also has the same functionality. In my in-development UI, I have a panel that "holds" Omen and either the Party frames or Grid. It disappears when I'm not grouped.
The first step was finding out the "name" of the Omen frame, since that will only appear if I'm grouped, and used (then) as a trigger for the panel. kgPanels has the option to keybind a "frame explorer," which I did to a never-used hotkey. Moused-over omen, hit the hotkey combo, and viola, I have a frame name.
That frame name was then set as the "parent" of the panel. Children are only shown if the parent is shown. Yes, it's a little counter-intuitive, since the panels "contents" are actually the "parent" in the context of kgPanels behavior. Nonetheless, it easily allowed my "group" panel to appear and disappear as needed!
Making a panel fade would be a little more difficult (you might have to look into some of the custom scripting available, and I'm not at home, so I can't help), but probably along the same type of line!

It's the DogTag you want to change, so a quick google on DogTag + soulstone returns this:
HasSoulstone(unit="player")
Return True if the unit has the Soulstone buff
[HasSoulstone] => "True"; [HasSoulstone] => ""

Hi i have a question about UI design with pittbull. I have worked a lot now with getting the tekst and colors right but the standart options in pittbull (and wow) are not to my liking.
Now a while ago i found a screenshot from a UI that came close to what i would like to make.
1. Douse anyone know how to get this very nice solid, one color bars. I realy dont like default blizzard one.
2. How do i seperate cast bar from Unit frame in Pittbull? Like in picture. Or is it not done with pitbull ?
3. How do i make castbar show latency overlap. I know Xpearl has option, but i cant find in pitbull
thank you

1: SharedMedia has a bunch of textures you might like.
2: You can't. That's most likely Quartz.
3: See #2.

Cannot figure out what is showing this buff :(
So I just completely re-did my interface, not quite done, but I can't seem to get rid of that MotW buff in the lower middle of the screen, it has to be somekind of buff bar because if i cast a heal on myself I can see it count down right below MotW. Any help would be much appreciated.

Now it would been nice with a high resolution image, but I guess you mean the bar.
It's either Quartz, CT_BuffMod , ElkBuffBars or Satrina's Buff Frames.
If it's neither, post a list of your current addons as well (and please, do that from the start next time, along with a high-res image)
