I had to reinstall WoW and now I have problem with Sct (or at least thats the prob). Before it showed my heals over my head with the name I healed and also showed who healed me. Now when I heal it shows healing on top of the healed one's instead of mine and no names. I've tried everything but nothing works.

Hey i have used the last day to set up a new ui but the pitbull "player" frame is blury compared to the "target" frame its looking like this now


its hurting my eyes as it is now but i cant seem to figure out what it is that causes it

I can't see any difference sorry. Your JPEG quality is so bad, that we wouldn't be able to see any blur other than what the JPEG causes.

Repost in (real) PNG or TGA please.

its not easy to see in any format but its wery clear in-game
if u look at the color at the borders.....btw the mana and hp bar for example compared to the target frame

Most likely it's the "Highlight" option and the "Combat Fader" that plays in. Try mess with those.

it would seem that the collors are crashing and making the frame blurry with some of the sizes on the unit i had to scale it down by 2-3% its perfect now

Here is my UI now


I like the xperls because it gives me a target of the guys in my party. I was wondering if there was a way for like, 10 man raids, to get a whole column of nothing but that. In other words, to get a whole column of 10 people for the xperls party UI.

My UI is a mess at present - error spam from my macros on the top of my DBM timers, X-perl with raid and party frames showing at once and taking up lots of space on the left, and my cast bar at the bottom well away from the enemy stuff up the top, and my focus taking up space below the enemy. Then there's the 5 rows of Bongos buttons, most of which are hotkeyed anyway but some of which I need to see timers for, and the Ora2 stuff slap bang in the middle... GAH!

What I want to get to is pretty much what I see in a lot of screenshots - most of the UI down the bottom of the screen, lots of space elsewhere, and the most pertinent info close together. The other main requirements would be:

- Focus shown so I can see whether it's free/sheeped/dead.
- My own buffs/debuffs and my targets very clear.
- Raid frames OR party frames showing clearly when someone is cursed.

Can I acheive this with my current core X-perl/Bongos2 setup, or do I need to start from scratch using Grid? What are the core addons of a tidy raiding UI?

X-perl looks messy. Try using Grid or Pitbull for unit frames, they are alot more configurable and will make you happier if you spend some time on it. Never used Bongos, so I wouldn't know anything. But I would reccomend Bartender4 with ButtonFacade for a good replacement if you end up needing one.

You can make Pitbull show curses in a neat way, either by the default options or by the use of DogTags (see the DogTags 3.0 thread or the DogTag documentation for help). Grid also shows this fairly nice, but I'm not a big fan of Grid.

As for action bars, get a 6th bar and put all the hotkeyed things you have on there with a cooldown then hide all the other bars. If you have skills you haven't hotkeyed try out OPie - Radial Actions Addon to get rid of some buttons.

You can move the oRA2 stuff by alt-click-dragging it.

I'd get: Pitbull, Bartender4, ButtonFacade, Chatter, MSBT, BigWigs, Buffalo, Quartz
If you find it needed I'd get: ClassTimers or Hourglass for cooldowns, Capping for PvP, Postal for mailing, and ArkInventory for bags.

I've also found Align to be a nice addon to use when setting up my UI: WoWInterface Downloads : Graphic UI Mods : Align.

If you need more help post pics of what you are doing/trying to do.

I was once in your very same situation. Being a raiding mage myself, it quickly occurred to me that we have a lot of things to keep track of, and an organized, compact UI was a necessity. So I present to you the results!

First, out of combat, chilling in Thunder Bluff:

Secondly, in a raid situation. If this were a boss fight, BigWigs bars would be appearing to the left, between my FuBar and my tooltip, while the raid warnings would pop up below the leet damage I'm doing:



On a fight like Archimonde or Kalecgos, I would be able to keep my mouse hovered over Grid at the bottom and decurse people. I have Grid set up to where an icon will pop up over someone only if I can decurse said affliction.

Thirdly, sheeping. When I have to sheep something, I like to keep it in a huge focus frame with a portrait so I can quickly tell when it is no longer a sheep, and macro it back into sheep form without changing targets (shoot me a PM if you'd like that macro). I can also see when it's dead, and who it's targeting:

Now, my UI is very bold and colorful. I do this because I enjoy the look of it (I'm not gay, I'm female), and it helps me distinguish details quickly. You can just as easily make this sterile and dark, just by changing the colors and fonts. Here are the mods:

AG Unit Frames - I've tried Xperl (loved the resizable buffs/debuffs, hated everything else), I've tried Pitbull (modded AG, way too many submenus), this is the cleanest and easiest to work with.

Cryolysis 2 - This is that odd bubble you see to the right of my own health and mana bars. It allows me to buff, port, mount and eat/drink with ease and without taking up a billion buttons on my bars. It also automatically restocks me on reagents every time I talk to a vendor, and tells me who's breaking sheep.
Error Monster - I'm a hardcore button masher. This mod eats all the 'That item ain't ready yet' and 'Stop trying to cast that, GCD ain't up yet' errors. You can tell it what to eat and what not to eat.

Omni CC (with Omni CC Options) - The cooldown timer seen on my cold snap button in the raid shot. I find it much more attractive than umpteen different bars tracking my cooldowns, since I have a lot to manage.

Of these, I would consider Grid, Cryolysis 2, Satrina Buff Frame (with options), Error Monster and AG Unit Frames essential to achieving the goals you outlined. The rest is mostly up to preference.

Hi guys,

I just recently (sunday) formatted my pc and reinstalled WoW & TBC. Now I have an issue with 80% (!) of my addons not working properly. Dominos/Bartender4/Bongos3 won't work properly; keybindings, stealth & normal bars and what not is bugging. Chinchilla, eePanels2, kgPanels and a handful of other addons aren't even recognized. This just to mention a few of my problems.

Any of you guys experienced anything similar to this?

I got a tad problem, hopefully someone can help me. I recently just updated my mods using NetherPanel, but it screwed up my eePanel as seen here, .

It appears your UI scale has changed, but also you need to adjust the color of your EE panels more towards the gray. That should bring you back to Jump Street.

Yeah, I changed the scale abit, but it was ok after a few days till I updated the mod, and I didn't change any colors at all...seems like when I tried to change the color..it doesn't change or some sort.

I have that problem all the time when I update Skinner/eePanels, it overwrites my changes and screws everything up.
You aren't alone, sadly, I've found no fix as of yet other than backing up those configs, updating, and recopying the settings back in.

Any particular libraries to download fonts? I figure I'll need to work on some panel backgrounds for a few windows soon, but I'm trying to work out a layout for the chat frames and nothing is coming to mind.

If anyone has any suggestions for improvements, I'm all ears. Attempting to leave as much of the view space open as possible for avoiding pvp clutter (damn rogues sneaking up on me!) and still maintain functionality without going to minimalist. This is still pretty rough, right now it is mostly just layout and addon tweakage.

I'm also having issues removing the tracking icon, despite selecting the option with simpleMinimap. I've checked and unchecked the option yet it still remains.


To avoid clutter, I'm simply supplying a link.

I've recently rebuild my UI after changing to a new system, and now i'm using Simpleminimap to move my minimap to the lower part of my screen.

My problems start when i visit the Auction house. I'm a JCer, and come there pretty often. Before i rebuild my UI and played with the standard UI, i could open the AH window and have my crafting window next to it. Since i've started using simpleminimap, when i open the crafting window, the AH window closes.

I have confirmed its simpleminimap causing the problems by enabling/disabling all my addons in turn and later disabling only simpleminimap.

I really do spend a fair chunk of my time at the AH, and this is getting really annoying to me. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this, or maybe has a alternative addon i could use to move the minimap.

I'm sorry i didnt provide screenshots, i'm pretty bad with those. However, the bottom of my UI looks similar as in the screenshot Insei posted in post 1412.

I used to use dotimer. I replaced it with class timer and Ghost pulse. I still find myself looking now at my bar checking when another one of my skills is gonna up ready. So i miss the physical timer of cds dotimer used to provide. Does anyone know of an addon like this?
