I use almost an exact replica of howitzer's UI.
I love the lay out, but the one problem I have with it is that the only way, as I have found, to see my cast bar is in the top left, right where my character health/mana is. Anyone know a cast bar that would fit nicely with it? I'd like it to be Ace2, but that really isn't as important as going with the whole look of the UI.
Edit: Also, if what I desire can be found inside some of the addons that I have, I'd like to know how I could get a cast bar to show where the default Blizzard cast bar is. I really don't mind if the casting bar under my health/mana remains where it is.

I would suggest Quartz, from files.wowace.com. While the options menu might be a bit overwhelming at first, the mod is very versitile. It is also fully movable so you can put the castbar wherever you'd like.

One thing I'm still missing: being able to tell how far away something is. With action bars hidden, it's hard to pinpoint the max range for a spell on a target. Any suggestions?
I can't find the option in Pitbull to fade in/out the _target_ frame based on range (it works for party frames, but I have those disabled in favor of grid).

I used Caithlyn's UI, added a trio of buttons between the player and target frames to indicate range (and if a spell school has been silenced) and used the bottom part of the screen to display cooldowns of certain spells. It's changed a bit since then, but you can get an idea from it.
Basically, I hide all my bound bars and have another set of bars showing just to monitor range/cooldowns. You could do something similar with your setup.

I am looking to enlist the help of some people that seem to know more about this kind of stuff than I do. This picture was posted in the US Wow forums a few times in the last week. People don't seem to know who it belongs or where its from. But due to popular demand my husband and I have set out to try to at least pull out the big button pieces and remake them. The rest of the UI is fairly simple across the bottom.
I successfully pulled out that left button circle, but for the life of me I cannot seem to recreate the "glass" layer that sits over the top of it. I'm using gimp and am not really a wiz with those kind of programs. If anyone is will to pick it apart, or just help me out recreating it, I would appreciate the assistance.

You could ask the owner of the UI:

As far as I know he made the big round circles himself and imported them with Eepanels or something.
As for the gloss, aint that a Cycircled skin?

Not sure if I can find him, I can't seem to see in the pic if his name is on their, I could be blind.
I have recreated that big outer circle, but the glass overlay looks like a seperate panel, rather than the glossy cycircle. I could be wrong though. Still working at it.

You're blind.
His name is clearly indicated in Omen. I even linked it in my last post.

What are people using to announce when an opponent begins casting or gains a buff? I used to use WitchHunt with SCT but now I use parrot which is not supported.

I use a castingbar for my target + NECB shows everything from everyone who is casting around me. Friendly and Hostile. + shows timers for their buffs/debuffs and cooldowns on spells. And tis good to see your Diminishing Returns.

I'm trying to set Aloft to show me the target of the opponents that are near me. To be more specific, I use the tag [Target] along with some rules to display something else ("<<YOU>>") if I am their target. This way, I could more easily time my Soulshatter during big aoe fights.
My problem is that the [Target] tag seems to behave strangely. I can literally "walk" on the mobs and it won't show anything, until I select the target. Then, it will be displayed only for the target I selected. If I select another target, it will also display the previous one(s), but the refresh frequency is atrocious.
Now, I see some possibilities: - I shouldn't test that at Warhammer Stronghold, the mob targets have strange behaviours when they are targeting another NPC.
- I need to be "in combat" with a target to see it's target (I don't think so, CoWTip is doing perfectly fine)
- I'm using the wrong tag
any ideas ? :-/

Parrot is supported through the output formats. Update your WitchHunt and get a new sinklib included to send to parrot.

I'm not sure how Prat's module should be working, but I use an addon called LanguageCycle for this (and also to switch language more easily, since I disabled my chat buttons). It can work standalone, but can also attach to Titan Panel or FuBar if you prefer that.

Ok, another question.
I currently use totemus as my shaman totem timers/dropper, and I am looking for either: a) a way to change the little sphere's to squares, perhaps the cycircled "vol" or serenity square setting; or b) a new totem timer/dropper that is affected by the cycircled button changer.
Any help is appreciated.

i dont know about totemus as i dont use that, but i know that YATA (which also has totem timers) http://files.wowace.com/yata
works with the cycircled vol skins, the only problem is that you cant change the icon padding. but thats no real drama

Anyone have any idea how you can add a Drop Shadow or maybe a thin line of Stroke to text? Mainly the timers on my Buffalo, since it sometimes gets really hard to read :O
