Since ouf_reputation only tracks what the blizzard faction watcher does, it doesn't integrate nicely with broker factions to update automatically on rep gain. As a result, I'm currently testing out Fizzwidget FactionFriend : WoWInterface Downloads : Quest/Leveling/Reputation Mods which is supposed to. But, I don't want the faction bar to appear on the blizzard action bars. Is there a way to remove the faction bar (and experience bar too, for my low level characters) from the blizzard action bars? Preferably something lighter weight if possible.

You'll need to use it each time you log in, otherwise you'll need to put it in an addon or something.

Hey i just decided to install PitBull Unit Frames 4.0. Which is so far a great addon.
However i cant find a few options. One of the options missing is a feature to add your group number in raids to your unit frames.
Secondly i'd like to know how to change whats shown on each bars. Like "Percentage of MP" etc.
Thanks in advance

Yeah, I figured that part out. The run command works beautifully, but not quite in the way I was expecting (stance bar and bottom right bars don't shift down with the exp/rep bars disabled). Which is fine, since I was just testing out a different method. For one thing, my broker bar looked odd without broker factions on the end

You're looking for the "Texts" section of each frame. I'm not 100% sure if that's what it's called in v4.0, but it should be something similar, and will cover both of your quandries.
You might also take a look at Shadowed Unit Frames : WoWInterface Downloads : Unit Mods as an alternative.

I'm a fan of the bossmods Deus Vox Encounters as it's very customisable regarding different sounds, bars and so on.
I however am wanting to insert my own custom sounds for the alerts, so rather than having a beep or a similar sound, I have created speech effects using Microsoft sam.
An example would be "Shadow Crash" spoken by Microsoft sam, which would then be attributed to the Shadow Crash warning on self for the General V fight.
Therefore I was wondering if anyone has any information on how I could go about this? I've managed to get the sounds to be recognised by Deus Vox and add them ingame. However to attribute them to an alert can only be done by removing the sound from a pre-existing alert.
For example - Alert 1 can be changed to be my new sound rather than the Alliance Bell, however I don't want to modify this as then it will change it for all other encounters that use Alert1, and it will be sutpid having "Shadowcrash" alert for a stomp.
These are the 2 files I edited to get my soundfiles ingame and viewable :
Core.Lua - Lines 67 onwards
Media.Lua - Lines 73 onwards
but I cannot see what controls, which alerts show up in the alert drop down menu.
Any ideas?

I would like to know if it is possible to make the main cast bar for Quartz show my hunters auto shot. I know Quartz has a seperate shot bar, but I dont like the look of it and would rather have it show as the main cast bar. I thought I saw a screenshot somewhere of this, but I cant seem to find it.

I don't know if you can do it with quartz, but if you use AzCastBar, you can set the "swing" bar to look exactly like the cast bar and place it in the same position. From what I recall of Quartz, this should be possible there as well so long as you fiddle with the settings for the appearance of the bar, but I'm not 100% on that.

So I use this unit frame addon called X-Perl.
whenever I put my mouse over my buffs/debuffs, it gives this giant list of who does not have the buff/debuff. How can I hide this?

I've been using the standard UI for a while now, but i've recently decided it was too much of a clusterfuck, so I decided to do some modifications. In my active UI, I am using xperl player and target frames, grid raid frames, bartender, sexyminimap, minimapbuttonbag, and KgPanels.
I want KgPanels to have 4 seperate panels near the bottom of my screen. What it would amount to is two bars running across my screen, with a break in the middle creating a circle around my minimap. How can I create rounded edges on KgPanels? Everything I've read on how to configure it only covers square edges.

All corners are square by default. You get rounded ones by using a texture that hides part of the image/frame/whatever to create a rounded corner.

I'm currently using MikScrollingBattleText and really like using it with my mage in a raid setting. However, I'd like to use the Blizzard default combat text on my druid. Unfortunately, the WoW interface settings aren't being applied to just one character - they affect all characters on the account.
Is there anything I can do besides either using MSBT for all my characters or Blizzard default for all my characters? I just don't want the hassle of disabling and re-enabling the combat text every time I switch characters.

Maybe disable the addon in the game's options for the characters you don't want to use it in?
In the login screen, where you select your char, press the 'Addons' Button. You should have a combobox top left that says something like "Configure addons for". Select your druid and uncheck MSBT.

I have been doing that so far. My main issue is that I have to disable the default Blizzard combat text on my mage and then re-enable it on my druid every time I go between them.
I think I have found a combat text addon that is close enough to Blizzard default for my druid, though, so I should be okay.

Hey folks,
I've been playing and raiding on my shaman for almost as long as wow has been around, I've recently joined the EJ forums for some reading into improving my play.
My problem is this at the moment:
I've been playing with the stock Blizzard UI, using their raid frames and all the core raiding mods, but frankly it's gotten to the point that I can't do everything I need to do with the stock UI. If anyone has any hints or tips as to what mods I should invest in for a compact lightweight UI for a resto/elemental shaman, it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Hi all,
For some reason after updating a couple of addons, not including Pitbull or anything unit frame related, the standard blizzard frames are not being hidden despite the options being check in Pitbull. If I uncheck and recheck them, they are hidden, but then appears again upon zoning etc.
This is what it looks like:
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/9...0809125904.jpg
Any ideas of what might be causing it, or how to fix it?
Thanks.
Edit to add: Also the macro I use to hide the error frames is not working properly. The macro is this: /script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()

There is a "Hide Blizzard" module in Pitbull. I'd make sure that is installed in your addons folder and checked off on your addons list. Sometimes updating clients like Curse can mess up your addons by installing or uninstalling random things... it's happened to me.
As for the macro, there are lua changes every patch pretty much so maybe it is out of date. Otherwise there is an addon, I think called cError that hides the "I need more mana" and etc. messages, if you want to use that instead. If it is lua errors, there is a default option in WoW to hide them. I think it's under the Help menu in interface options.

Thanks for the reply, still have the problem though unfortunately. Hide Blizzard Folder is there, the options to hide the frames are there in game, and they work, its just the frames reappear again shortly even though the option boxes are checked.
I think its related to the hide error frame error I now have with the macro too. The macro works, but then the frame comes back again.

Is there a way to move where the incoming damage is displayed with the in-game combat text system? Im quite happy with it, but would like to move it without using something like MSBT or SCT if at all possible.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. I believe the Blizzard combat text is part of the 3D game world and not the interface.
