Perfect Targets update/replacement?
Anyone know of new/updated PerfectTargets? I really like seeing a list of all the mobs that are currently being targeted by the raid and what their health values are, especially in places like Hyjal so I can anticipate how close we're going to be on a particular wave and can plan ahead for my positioning/drinking. Really, any fight with a bunch of adds it's useful for getting a quick snapshot of how things are going.
2.3 seems to have broken it and I think it's largely unsupported at this point, so I was wondering if anyone knew of another mods that provided the same or similar functionality that are more actively developed. |
/bump
I would like this as well as I liked this add on a lot being a healer. |
I think PitBull has an option to show the ToT of raid frames, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

MainAssist is the closest thing I know of, but it's still based around the MT list. It shows a count of how many people are targeting each tank's target however, and can show the people's names in tooltips. Unfortunately MainAssist has been on life support itself for some time now and will probably suffer the same fate eventually.
Back in the day I liked SmartAssist better than PerfectTargets, but SmartAssist fell by the wayside when Blizzard revamped the UI for WoW 2.0. |
Not sure Mel if you've used oRA2 and set up "Player Targets" I raid with 7-8 set up for all our helaers so I can see who's targeting what to clamp down on being more effecient. Here's a SS (Player targets is under the MT targets, I think you can set up...12):

Well, PerfectTargets wasn't a bunch of raid target frames, but a simple list of what's targetted by your raid, like so:
![]() Of course it's possible to enable PitBull's raid target frames, but they'd use a lot more space since you'd have a separate frame for each person targetting Ryken there. |

I downloaded PerfectTargets from wowace, and loaded it up. The first unit I targetted happened to be an NPC (although I tend to think the unit type wouldn't matter, based on the code I changed) and it gave me an error. I easily fixed this, restarted my UI and was able to test the addon on a few mob types in my general vicinity, and didn't get any other errors.
I did a few other tests, with a simple party and setting the main assist, but never got any other errors. I haven't tested this extensively, and haven't tried it in a full sized raid at all, so any help in testing would be appreciated. I am in the process of getting approved to upload to the wowace SVN, and when I am approved I will upload the fix. At that point, I'll update this post and you can download it. If you guys could use this thread to help test this addon, I will try my best to fix the errors as you report them. Please try to make these 'bug reports' as detailed as possible, including as much of a description of what was happening (or you were doing) at the time as well as a screen shot or full text of the error you received. If you can reproduce the particular bug by doing the exact same thing multiple times, please tell me the steps to do so. I am new to Lua programming, but am a computer science major and have done lots of work in other scripting languages. Hopefully we can get this awesome addon back into a working order asap. |

I'm using Bunchofbars to check what the raid is targeting, when the mainassist is down.
It's a minimalist raidframes-addon, which shows the raidsymbols of everyones target (or if there is no raidsymbol, its a blue little square besides the healthbar when this person has the same target as me). Quite handy, i love the addon, because it's small and shows only the information i need (as a rogue). No extra ToT-frames for 25 people, which take some space. http://www.wowace.com/wiki/BunchOfBars |

PerfectTargets was recently updated by Thrae.
|
Hi Compbry, any updates? Perhaps you could tell us how to fix that error you fixed on our own? Would be nice :)
|
I stopped working on it because funkydude said Thrae recently updated it. I also just moved and got a new job, so I doubt I will have time to do anything else to it :( Hopefully Thrae will continue to update the plugin, although the last revision I downloaded didn't have any errors but also didn't show what anyone is targetting.

along the lines of something like this..
anyone know of a mod that will work like proximo or gladiator except for pve? I would like to be able to see every hostile npc engaged and be able to click its nameplate to target it ( RDX had this back in 1.0 ) anyone know of one that does it for 2.0? sorta like ora mt targets, except done by npc, not by tank etc |
