Dock (closed beta testing)
For those that are unfamiliar with Dock, here's a preview video I made a month ago: YouTube - Dock Preview 2
This thread was originally asking for beta testers but I'm not looking for more testers. Don't bother me sending me more PMs about beta testing at this point, I have all the testers I need. Thanks to everyone that offered to test.
This post is a mirror of: Dock (closed beta testing)

I would really like to try testing this out, i have no experience with coding but i do know a lot about addons in general.
I guess that puts me under beginner.
I'll see if i can get you ingame tomorrow.
Edit: Or you are US... i guess i will have to get the realmlist for USwow.
Edit2: Ok now that is even impossible :P
Please post how i can contact you.

I'd be interested to give your AddOn a whirl. The concept is most intriguing for a gaming UI!
I've been in and out of the AddOn scene for some time now - I know my LUA, but haven't kept up with the latest frameworks/API changes (coding with them, at least). Outside of my gaming life, my profession is programming, currently at a fortune 500 corp. Also, I play WoW on a Mac, so it might pick up some of those quirky edge cases that WoW/OS X seem to run into (error reporter windows)
Not sure what else there is to say :P

I'd love to test it out. I raid Hyjal and BT on Tuesday/Wednesday, the rest of the time I spend pvping/arenaing so dock would be heavily used. Although I have little lua experience I am quite experienced with troubleshooting problems with mods. Reporting errors wouldn't be an issue at all because I run bugsack all the time. I've been playing wow for two years now quite a bit of my downtime is spent customizing my UI and fine tuning it and I feel that dock would greatly add to my UI but it needs to be as bug free as possible before being released to the public.

Hey there!
I'm a veteran WoW player, having been around since launch. During that time I've played a wide range of classes and used far to many mods to think about at this point, name it and I probable dabbled with it for a bit, if not used it in one UI setup of mine.
Currently I raid BT/Hyjal, pvp/arena and just normally play on four different classes that have their different UI setups and class specific mods, so I could provide you with a nice range of testing conditions to really see what plays nice and not so nice with Dock.
I have a strong grasp of programming, having done a fair share of websites and other programs in my line of work and random things on the side. I've beta tested SWG, CoH, CoV, WoW and EQ2 and a other handful of software, so I'm familiar with the processes one has to go through and auctually providing decent, understandable feedback.
Your addon is something I think would make a great addition to my own UI and plenty of others, with the ability it will bring to save space. It of course reminds me of RocketDock for windows.. and I use that dang thing daily. So the chance to help progress Dock's development is a major incentive for me!
Thanks, hope I can help.

I would be extremely interested in testing Dock. I know the basics of LUA programming, and I also have tons of experience troubleshooting addons.
I raid 3-4 nights a week, so Dock would be used often. I also play on a Mac, that might help the testing as well.

I'd love to try it out.
I wrote Omen, among other things, and have extensive experience with modding, both in terms of end-user mods and Ace-based libraries. I'm pretty sure I could give you useful info.

I'd like to test it, as well. I've done a bit of .lua, but not enough to say I know enough to make anything decent.

I would love to test it, but probably don't have the time to do it at this point. I'll be waiting with baited breath for the open beta though! Congrats on an amazing concept and soon-to-be wonderful addition to the community at large!

I'd like to participate in beta-testing this addon. My knowledge of LUA is decent, but i've got a lot of expirience in software testing and QA.

Hi there !
I'm free for testing your dock mod. i'm a poweruser of various add-ons, the most Ace compliant.
No experience in addons developpement but in developpement in general.
So if you search an advanced user view of testing ...

As the others, i's really like to help you by beta-testing your Dock addon. I myself wrote some little, not very usefull, addons and have some knowledge about ACE2. I have no problems diving code and finding/fixing little things, so maybe you don't need to do all the work by yourself.

Long time lurker, but this got me interested.
I'm a game designer by trade, so I believe I'd be able to give relevant feedback. I have over 200 addons installed in my WoW folder, so I guess that could be a large enough pool to test the limits of Dock.
Color me curious.

I'd love to participate in this as well. Been playing wow since release and loved various addons ever since then. I'm a complete nimrod when it comes to code, allthough I seem to constantly get forced into debugging, expanding and making various scripts (.vbs, js, hotvoice (kudos if you know what the hell that is) etc) at work.
I can usually read and modify code to a certain extent, but allmost unable to create anything from scratch.
Giving proper feedback is not a problem though, with real references from codesack or whatever works for the job required.
(And, for the record, I was responsible for documenting and finding the very, very obscure bug in Winamp when it added GDI objects. That's my "I helped find a weird bug in something use" referenced and I'm sticking to it!)

I would love to test this. I am testing a lot of Addons therefor my Wow Ui is kind of fluent - so heavy use of Dock is ensured. I have little knowlegde of LUA Coding, but I work as software developer and I am used to do heavy testing on the work of others.
I am raiding often, beeing a kind of assistant to the raidleader, therefore I have frames containing DKP Info, Raid Attendence etc on and off the screen.
I use mostly Ace Addons

Would also like to volenteer for testing. I'm currently using a variatie of different addons for ace and non ace.
Have no actual Lua experiance but know some basic java coding.
Worked on a couple of school java projects so know the valua of decent and proper feedback/bugreporting.
Have a lot of time on my hands so hope i can help you test it

I have tested software before, but never a WoW mod. I have done code review but never in LUA. I am familiar with scripting languages such as Ruby and Perl.
I find the mod you wrote completely fascinating and it would completely revolutionize my gameplay, for sure. I use Omen, Recount, Pitbull, ForteWarlock, NaturEnemy bars, Quartz, BigWigs (or DBM, depends), SK, nShakedown, ORA2, XRS, Bartender, Cartographer, Auctioneer Advanced, and other assorted mods, using a UI largely based on Tapestry UI 12. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 active addons running.
I play on Mac OS X, on a MacBook Pro usually on a 20" Apple Cinema Display at 1680x1050.
And I love anything that can help me keep a UI tidy and elegant.

I've sent out PMs to testers. If you didn't get a PM sorry, nothing personal just many testers with too few slots. I ended up writing a quick script to randomly pick testers.
