CTProfiles comeback?

I clicked on Sadris' EJ profile that is still linking to his CTProfiles, it redirected me to the homepage with a news post made today:

CTProfiles has a new primary coder, and with a completely revamped backend, better item importing, an import from armoy option to get you started, no more addon required, things are looking good.

The Armory is slow, clunky, and only able to show the set you happened to log out in. The need for custom profiling hasn't gone away, and CTProfiles is far from dead.

As usual we're starting things off with a Beta format; things are live, but we're still making tweaks here and there. If you come upon something that doesn't seem quite right (a talent typo, stat miscalc, broken item icon, etc.) please let us know by either filling out a contact form, or posting on the forums.

All old accounts should still work to login, so if you remember your login information, try logging in. If it doesn't work, use the password recover form to reset your password so you can log in again.

We've been gone for a while, but we're back, and things are looking good so far. We hope you've missed us!

Now it's time for what comes after the cat in the tree poster; we've hung in there, and now is our time to climb back up.

I haven't really played around with it yet, but I noticed that your character has to exist on the armory to be able to able to add one. When you add it, it will have the guild and the guild rank of your character along with a copy of whatever gear you're wearing on armory. It had a problem getting my warrior's gear though, it couldn't find an enchant. I'm guessing executioner.

Hopefully they can get the issues they had with sockets, combat ratings, talents, etc... all that sorted out that they had before they first went on hiatus, it was such a great resource before the expansion was released.

We still have quite a bit of work to do, but it's coming along nicely. Due to the way thing are being reworked, we'll likely hit several of the 'Unable to find enchant' errors. We're fixing them as we encounter them though.

Coopers98, I'm guessing based on your reply that you clearly work on the ctprofiles project, so...

I just attempted to log in to ctprofiles, but since it's been a long time, I forgot my password. I used the password recovery service, but I didn't receive an email. I am checking the right email, and it's the right email registered to the account, too. I'll PM you my email if it will help you manually reset it, or something, but figured I'd post this here too incase others have the same problem they know they aren't alone.

The password recovery should be working, be sure to check your spam folders in case it gets tagged as such. If you still haven't gotten anything after waiting a bit, let me know.

The Shaman T6 Elemental set (Skyshatter Regalia - Item Sets - World of Warcraft) is "undefined", and every piece in the set misses their sockets. Other than that, not much to say. Brilliant.

I'd like to be able to make a ragdoll of any sort though, as we were able to do before. I'd like to see how the sets I made would look on my Shammy when it's 70, and not 62 as it now :p

[Golden Spellthread] is showing up as "+51 Healing and +18 Stamina", I think that's the pre-2.1 version of it, also post-2.3 many +heal enchantments also have +dmg. I haven't checked the other TBC leg enchantments, but I suspect they might also be showing old values. The epic versions that require Primal Nether were all buffed in Patch 2.1.

A dropdown selector (for Base Stats, Melee, Ranged, Spell, Defense) ala character pane and armory would be nice.

Talent import didn't work for my character, it created a new talent template named "Armory" but it's blank. I then went to the talent area, deleted the blank one, and re-imported it with the same results.

It is a little buggy at the moment (missing some gems, some enchants not in the database, some enchants incorrect, and socketing is a little rough doing it manually), but everyone who loved this tool before (me especially) should work with it some and report the bugs. Please help in providing errror data back to the developers, help get this polished up and back to smooth running order.

Either i'm going blind or its missing the Chaotic Skyfire Diamond (12 spell crit rating/3% increased critical damage meta) from the gem list.

Good to see the project getting new legs however, logged in and refreshed my profile

Yep it's missing.

So far I find the whole socketing gems system very annoying, I can't see the names of the gems and they seem to be sorted totally random. But I'm not complaining. I'm glad ctprofiles returned and I'm sure the kinks will get worked out fast enough

Combatratings, Spell Crit etc seem to be a little wrong. I know for sure that 51 hit rating is NOT going to give my shaman 12,73% chance to hit.

I'm pretty sure the +8 Spell Hit rating gem is also missing.

Some things still seem pretty buggy. I apparently have 49% crit (I only have 32 in-game): CTProfiles.net: World of Warcraft Profiles � Fafhrd � PVE LOL Pet Dead
I actually seem to gain 3-5% crit each time I edit that profile.

Also clicking save on the talents pane seems to clear talents without saving.

I understand you're still trying to make it actually work, but if you're hunting for future features there's one thing I've been looking for in a character planner: The ability to add buffs, elixirs and flasks so that they affect the paperdoll figures. At least for me it would be tremendously useful to see fully raid buffed stats in comparison to other gear sets.

Still, keep up the good work, I've missed CTprofiles and it's great to see it back again.

I get the error "Could not write file!" when I try to retrieve my character(s) from the Armory.
