Its noteworthy that as I compiled this UI, I used halcyone's textures. :]
Raidframes, ordered by class, up to a maximum of 25 people, (groups 6-8 hidden)

The UI:

Addons used:

Quick explanation of this UI. Text on the left and out of the way, the upper box isn't displaying it at the moment but it is for private channels. The problem I always had with blizzard standard Ui is that everything is too spread out on my screen. To that end I came up with the concept of a UI focused on organizing information in a concise and centralized way. Spells and abilities are organized at the top of the screen followed by player frame and omen. Under that is target of target and my target. Debuffs are underneath my target. Further down is recount. To the right are my buffs and right of that is grid, set up vertically by class, only shows the first 25 people in a group so it wont expand infinitely for 40man battlegrounds. Cheers.
Edit: This Ui is now available for download. I take 0 responsibility for assisting anyone with its set up. Some addon knowledge is required.

Pitbull : Unit Frames.
Bartender 4 : Buttons under player frame and unhidden at the top of the screen in the second shot.
Chinchilla : Minimap
Grid : Raid Frames (Bottom shot)
Satrina's Buff Frames : Buffs
LynRune : DK Rune display.
SL Data Text : Clock, Calender, Melee stats and FPS etc.
Assessment : Damage Meter.
Fubar : Tiny Bar Under the minimap and a hidden one at the bottom.
Quartz : Sexy castbar wrapped around/through Unit Frames (Borrowed from oom's UI).
Fane : To remove chat tabs.
Chatter : Various chat functions.

I took CaithUI as a foundation for my newest interface. It's quite heavily customized as a shaman healer addon including custom Grid configuration etc. while keeping a low memory and CPU usage (13.5mb during raid).
In comparison with my previous UI's i've moved the Grid frame quite a bit up more towards the middle of the screen as I've found myself staring at the frame a bit too much especially during movement heavy encounters such as 3-drakes Satharion (hello Voidzones).
Criticism and comments are appreciated.

The trick to those is that they're nearly impossible to get working with PitBull currently (absent a custom layout coded in lua), which is what Ish is using. I'd assume they fill sideways instead of up and down. If you're seriously interested in making unitframes like that, I'd suggest Discord Unit Frames.
Otherwise: I like the look of your nameplates, except for the box around the level (obviously it cuts into the text).
Thebadmf: I like the castbar concept, but think the implementation needs a bit of polish. Sharpening the corners *or* eliminating the sharp edges on the pitbull frame would make that look a bit more consistent.

Yeah, unfortunately I had to abandon that one because I couldn't get the health to deplete vertically with how I had the health/power bars set up. If you can figure out how to do it I would love to know because I really enjoyed that layout. However, I really like the other two as well. The third one is something I threw together last night while I was testing out like 20 new fonts that I added to SM.

@ Ish, Pitbull should do that on its own.
I am using vertical bars myself (I think my UI is listed somewhere earlier in the thread), but as soon as there's a threshhold hit between width and height, Pitbull automatically dropped health vertically instead of horizontally.
That said, it was a bit of fiddling, as it's quite picky there. I've had your problem as well, but not when the differences in height/width were as pronounced as they are in the screenshot you provided.
That said, when I've some more time I'll be moving away from that layout and will likely go for something more similar to the other option you showed ( The name-in-bar thingy).

Led, thank you. I always follow your work so you input is more than welcome!
I received quite a few PM's about an upload/questions about the castbar. Since I didn't create the texture I won't be making a public upload but, you can find oom's amazing ui here. Just use the castbar texture with quartz and pop the bar on top of the frame.

Nice UI there, though, what's the point of having the buffs displayed in two different locations ?
Font is horrible in my opinion.
You have way too many addons that do the same thing, I assume you know that and you've just tested what's better suited for you, but you might as well clean it up and show the real addons in-use, not your whole WoW addon collection.
Still, the UI looks really nice, might even try it once you release it

Not sure where you are seeing buffs in two locations? Top right is player buffs and target frame is target buffs/debuffs.
Not sure what you mean about the font other than it being lowercase? I use lots of fonts and tbh have gotten tired of seeing many of the same ones used over and over. Went back to pixel fonts for a bit but used most of those since last year this time.
Generally, I show the addons folder as it is easier - but yeah it shows tons of duplicates and mods that I haven't used in months but haven't completely removed. When I do upload though I will always go in and only load the ones that are currently used.

Updated a bit, played a lot with .blp textures and lua.
Currently i'm looking to skin the buffs, and completely violate my castbar but i need to kick my own arse and get to work
I'm always looking for feedback and constructive criticism, i'm going to get a new pixelfont as this one doesn't support letters like ì and á
I got a lot of inspiration from Ishtara, who made a wonderful UI and uploaded it to WowI. I'm also working on a set of vertical unitframes that he made with pitbull.
I think that's all, now start sending those PMs about what i could do with the whole schablang  Oh, and merry christmas.
