I've been MIA for a while and im just trying to catch up with the new addon trends so i just jumped to the end of the thread so i may not acctually know what you're talking about. But i'll tell you now it's only a little extra work to add an important buff frame near your health bar or in the center at plain site. For my DK UI for example i made a single buff frame for horn of winter and it seems a bit stupid but it really did help me in the long run b/c i never forgot it at that point.

P.S. I can't wait to see what you've done with your UI while i've been gone i always love your work. ^.^
P.S.S. I saw your new UI. its very different and I love it!

Addons List. Focus frame goes to the left of my player frame.

For addons, I've been replacing a lot of addons that I've had for a long time with newer things that I've found.

Bartender4 + ButtonFacade > Dominos + rActionButtonStyler
Quartz > AzCastBar
ElkBuffBars > Simple Buff Bars
Bagnon > cargBags + cargBags_Pernobilis
Recount > Skada

Also dropped FreeRefills and SLDataText for custom mods that are a good bit lighter.

Really not interested in releasing anything I have at this time, as my addons folder is usually a huge mess of custom projects.

Current ui. Taken from: KittyUI : WoWInterface Downloads : Graphical Compilations

Just slightly modified for being a shaman. Modified the theme and action bars, but aside from that it's essentially the same ui. That's a pic with the worst case scenario combat text. Below is an idle picture with a target.

Below is an image of focus (left of center), focus target (right of center), and target of target (left).

I take no credit for this layout, many thanks to kittysafe - arthas.

Decided to screw pixel fonts, after all I can barely read them and they have to be small too look good. The UI is made to be nearly as minimal as possible, focusing on solo, partying and basically casual play. Barely raid these days.

Pet name is purely for symmetry. Minimap is very small because I hardly use it.

Addons you can see are:

Working on this at the moment:

kgPanels - LynStats - oChat - OmniCC - oUF (modified Xsai) - pMinimap - rActionBarStyler - rActionButtonStyler (pHishr's skin) - rBuff - Skada - sThreatMeter2 - sTooltip

Insipred greatly by Xsai and Luna.

Still much to be done (no fucking idea what I want to put in that void next to the damage meters) but I'm very pleased with it. Not that it matters too much to most people, but it's very very lean on memory. Nearly all configuration is done in lua, as such most of the addons in this interface are modded or customized in some way.

If there's interest I'll host it at wowinterface once I work out the kinks.

I love the color scheme that you have in your UI, and the general setup is very nice. However, I don't see how much of the information on your screen in combat is important, though. Many of the bars you have showing are superfluous. Target of pet? Target of focus? ToToT? I don't see how any of those help a dps class, if not any class. I know that on a fight like hardmode Vezax I wouldn't have time to look at much of that information.

I also don't think that target debuffs, pet buffs, chat timestamps, or the pet action bar is necessary, but that's more of a personal preference. The fuBar also seems a bit uneven, with everything on the left, but this is probably the first UI that I've liked seeing the fuBar fully visible, instead of just on mouseover. In addition, the Skada seems a bit out of place, just hanging in "midair" on the left side of the screen.

Overall, the UI is visually appealing out of combat, but the information overload seems to be too much in a raid.

@Minifridge - perhaps move the threatmeter there. It's not like you desperately need it to be between player and target.

WIP

Dediced to ditch the hud (even tho I really liked it) and go for bars again.
Picture shows my UF, target (with buffs/debuffs), tot, party, focus, threat, my buffs and debuffs and castbars all simulated. Dont mind the strange gray stripes .. it's a "bug" from Stuf.

Well, being a tank, it helps immensely to have my threat meter dead center. There are many situations where I need to be able to grab aggro on loose mobs while avoiding raid damage and paying attention to my health. So I really couldn't see my threat bar working down there.

I did just get a PM with an suggestion to put non-important chat channels over there. That's a possibility.
