Lootlink

I've been an avid fan of lootlink for many years. It helps me inform guildies and randoms about all the various items that I read about on wowhead, but don't actually own. I was using a version that had a built-in library of all the TBC items, and also had a feature that I really want back: auto-complete. By typing '[gloves of dex' into the chat window and hitting TAB, the item link would auto-complete to [Gloves of Dexterous Manipulation]. I found that extremely useful since I'm a horrible typist, and because it makes searching for links much easier if you know the beginning of the item's name.

Some time ago, the version of lootlink I was using broke, and I went scrambling for an alternative. The only one I found is not nearly so feature-rich as my old one.

So my question is, what version of lootlink (or a similar addon) do you guys use? Does it come with a searchable database of all the items that exist? Does it have a working auto-complete in 2.4? I'd REALLY like to have that feature back.

I use Fizzwidget Linkerator for those features; doesn't have the same powerful search, but it has some search capability and it has autocomplete.

I personally use Ludwig

WoWInterface Downloads : Data Mods : Ludwig

Uses your own itemcache, link support, and searching via command line or graphical interface.

I use atlasloot if I don't actually know the name though.

This type of addon isn't even necessary anymore. Go to any Wowhead item page, click "Get Link", copy, paste into WoW. Voila.

I do that if I have no other way of showing the item, but alt tabbing will never be as convenient as an ingame mod

I like using WhoDrop so that I don't need to know the name of an item just where it comes from.
