ISO: Raid-wide gear inspection mod

We use loot council to decide drop distribution on our raids. Since we generally try to prioritize by biggest upgrade, it would make the loot council's life much easier if there were some sort of auto-inspect mod that would display what everyone in the raid was currently wearing in a particular slot.

For instance, a shiny new mail chest drops. You fire up the mod and it shows what all of the mail (and plate classes) are currently wearing in that slot, sorted by ilvl or something similar. Does anyone know if a mod like this exists?

More generally, does anyone have any mods they use to help quickly determine how their raid is equipped? I know we can't be the only raid group looking for a better method than having people link their gear over and over again.

Don't trust iLvl. For rogues the best and second best trinket in game have iLvl 125 and 115 for example.

I could be wrong but i don't think thats possible with out storing the raid's gear info. The problem with this of course would be that if someone changed a piece of gear or upgraded a piece of gear then your raid's stored gear wouldn't be properly displayed. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, which i hope I am because that does sound like a wonderful Idea for an addon.

what my guild does for this is to have whoever wants the loot that drops link what they are currently using, what loot they want, and a rating of how big of an upgrade it is.

On Par

You can check out On Par for this. It will capture what is basically an inspection of each character you target, it then assigns that a score based on it's equipment database and stores the player's gear. If you flushed/purged the data at the beginning of each raid and then targeted each character, you'd have the whole raid's gear in a list that youc an then click on each name and see what they are wearing.

It's not as sortable as you were asking for, but it's a start.

You mean the wowace mod InventoryOnPar?

Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry, I should have included a link to it as well.
