Is there any plans to extend the commandset with a toggle window function equal to recount1?
I realize recount2 is handling its windows by a per-window basis, but a toggle function in any case would be greatly appreciated.

also, recount2 isnt as accurate as recount1 imo... it said my pet was doing 2k dps and i was doing 4k dps
Sounds like some work is needed on the timing.

Alright will look into that!

Yeah, toggling is pretty easy to add so will look at that tomorrow.

I need to do something useless.

Does this fully work in WoW 3.0? I looked around in this thread and noticed the WoWace link only says 2.4.3 (And no, I am not dense, I do see in the first post it says not ensured to work, but 3.0 has been out for a few days now, just wondering).

After finally moving from recap to recount with 3.0 patch, there have been a few features I've missed a lot. First would be shift+click reporting data into whatever chat you have open which was just so convenient. Second thing I miss a lot is the tracking for random buffs/debuffs gained and their intervals. Any chance these would be included in recount2?

How does Recount2 compare to the original in terms of resources? Would I see a smaller footprint than the typical Recount settings of the original? Larger?

Further, is it supported to look at particular data segments or save off segments for later viewing?

My ideal would be how Assessment handled data segments. It tied in with Bigwigs or DBM to know when boss fights started and ended, and automatically saved off each boss fight for later viewing with a segment name that included the name of the boss and a timestamp.

This allows perusal of the fight details later in the evening when your raid takes a break, rather than only just after the encounter, when you are busy getting folks moving towards the next encounter, dealing out loot, and finding someone to backfill your key healer that just got called to go pick up a friend who's car broke down.

If I understand your question correctly, the current release of Recount1 accommodates what you're asking for to an extent. You can select in the options menu something along the line of "only save boss segments". And, if you don't have any auto deletion features turned on, you can effectively save these indefinitely. However, this is still limited to the 5 parses that Recount saves at any one time.

Right. Recount1 does a limited version of what Assessment did, when it comes to segments. Assessment provided the best flexibility there, in my mind.

You didn't have to turn off trash fight tracking, could still see overall data for the night that includes everything (however useless or useful you might think it is), and every boss fight was saved off with the name of the boss + timestamp labeling the segment, until you cleared them.

I'm guessing that the new storage format for Recount2 might prohibit this kind of segment tracking though. Anyone know what facility exists in Recount2 already, if any?

Is Recount2 supposed to be an Assessment-like replacement since that project died? I would be more than happy to help you test it if that is the case, I miss that addon sorely.

Has recount2 been abandoned?

I tried it out last night on a dummy and saw hugely inflated DPS values, approximately 33%. (~3700 recount2 vs ~2600 recount)

Not really abandonded. I'm just really busy so don't get much in the way of changes in at the moment. Last several updates have been bug and performance updates. Ignore DPS/HPS at the moment since the way I determine timing in Recount2 is basically failing bad.

I need to do something useless.

I didn't fully understand the current GUI enough to tell if you can but it would be useful to be able to open a damage or healing window for a specific target like SWStats was able to.

For example on a fight like Kil'Jaeden, I'd want to be able to see a separate damage meter for Shield Orb's alone so I can see who was slacking on killing them without having to look at each players individual details for who they did damage to. Similarly, it'd be useful if everyone's Recount "synced" into showing the same results. Currently with Recount, players within raids seemingly get different results in the end, especially players with pets.

Tested using a training dummy in Ebon Hold. Running Recount and Recount at the same time.
Discrepancy's: DPS is higher when compared to Recount

Is there any way to make the font larger? I'm getting kinda old. . .
