I just cleaned up the old mod PerfectTargets a bit, got it working without errors, etc, and if anyone wants to try it out before I unleash it on Curse and WoWInterface, go for it!

Basically it displays a small list of all the mobs that are being targeted by the raid, as well as:
- The raidtarget icons of each mob if they're marked.
- The number of raidmembers targeting the mob.
- Which of the listed mobs you're targeting.
- The health % (and colored bar) of each mob.

Places where I find it useful:
- When AOEing down groups so I can tell how close they are to being dead.
- Keeping tracking of health values of multi-mob fights (4H, Thaddius phase 1, etc).

I'm not really looking to implement a bunch of new features but I'll definitely keep it in working order.

Do you think a raw % value would be better, or something like a colored square that goes from green to red? I want it ot be a "at a glance" kind of thing so I want to avoid populating with too much numbery stuff.

Raw % would probably be better, although you could give the option to colour the number.

Magic Targets : WoWInterface Downloads : Ace: Combat does this really cleverly - it color codes the bars based on whether the mobs target is a tank (based on Def. Stance/RF/Bearform/MTlist), the mob is CC'd, or the mob is aggro'd on to someone it shouldn't be.

Sadly, it's out of date, so if there's a feature request here I'd ask for, that's it.

Also, the ability to place the text you have beside the bar on the bar to reduce clutter would be cool.

I think sticking to the featureset of PerfectTargets is fine. You could, if you like, have something like a red border on an entry/mob if a target isn't in the oRA MT list, but honestly, it's gilding the lily at that point. I'm going to have both sets of frames up anyway, I just want something to tell me "who's targetting what" and "mob health %s" and such.

I moved the health % on top of the bar, and now have threat % where health % used to be, and I'm pretty happy with the layout.

I'll be testing it out tonight and will release a new version if no errors show up. I'd also like to color-code the threat %s but I'm not sure that will make it in before test-time tonight.

I've been looking for an AddOn like this that included HP%'s. I'd be very interested in trying this out tonight (3/5/09), so thank you very much for putting it out to try.

Awesome, I'll check it tonight and report back.

Quick edit / request, any chance of it showing who is targeting the mob when you mouse over?

It's not out of date. It's updated for 3.0 and I still use it on a daily basis. What is it that makes you say it's out of date?

Is there any way to make the bars interactive, so you could change targets by clicking on this frame? Also, an ability to hover over the target and see who all is targeting it would be nice. Either way, nice addon!

Last updated 11-12-2008, doesn't detect Frost Presence DK's as 'tanks' for finding tanked mobs. Unless the it's being maintained someplace other than WoWI that I didn't know to look?

It was last updated at 11-12-2008 since it didn't need any changes to work beyond that. Frost Presence is tricky since you can't detect it in any reliable way on anyone but yourself (this might change in 3.1 however). I also don't detect defensive stance for the same reason although for warriors I try to see if they have a shield equipped. Anyhow, I've been working on Magic Targets 2.0 and just released a beta available both from these places: Magic Targets : WoWInterface Downloads : Ace: Combat and Magic Targets - Addons - Curse (at Curse, make sure to download the r72 beta rather than the release).

It has much more flexible options for the text on the labels and there are (so far) two different layouts to choose from. I pretty much rewrote the bars/label handling from scratch.

Not possible, dynamically created frames are not clickable because of limitations by the wow lua API (as far as I know).
