Heya, well done mod so far. I have a configuration question (I'm kinda newb to setting up scripts/texts).

Is there a way for me to add a second empty bar? I would like to have an empty bar that runs vertical on the outer edge of the frames. Think of XPerl frames, I'm trying to configure a percent area similar to how XPerl has it. I downloaded the ShadowedUF_Bars plug in, I'm not sure what added functionality I've gained from it though. Thank you.

You can't, you can only get one extra empty bar, but you can't get a vertical one like XPerl.

One solution might be to add extra text areas through Shadowed's options, and then place a panel alongside your unitframe using something like eePanels, KGPanels, etc.. I'm fairly certain that if you only wanted the panel to show up when you had a target, or were in combat, etc., that they can be scripted to only appear at those times.

I have a feature I haven't been able to find. On a target, you can see the incoming heals, I like this feature, but I would like it not to show the hots. I find it quite annoying and I would love an option to remove hots shown as incoming heals.

Another option I am missing is he option to change the size of your hots/dots on a target to make them even bigger than what is possible at the moment.

I realize that these features can be considered quite advance, so I wouldn't blame you if you don't want to work them into the addon.

Is it possible, to position the single groups in the raid seperatly?

Currently, you only have the "table" of all raidmembers as row/column.
What I would like to see, would be the possibility to have a little space between the single groups in the raid, for more "sexyness" of the UI here. =)

Is this somehow possible? I did not find anything about this unfortunatly...

It's not, but it'll be coming shortly. Probably in 1 - 3 weeks depending on how long the indicator recode takes.

I've used SUF for the past several weeks and found several missing features from PB4.

- The empty bar's color is static and won't change on hostility or class.

- In PB4 I placed used the casting bar on the top of a 3 bar stack. When not casting, it showed my character's group number and name. When casting, that was replaced with the spell icon, casting bar, and casting time complete with latency cutoff. Xperl does something similar, if you need a frame of reference. I would love to get this functionality in SUF. It saves space and is just elegant.

- Before I used the casting bar as my top bar, I had it on the bottom but transparent until casting. This way when casting a spell it didn't smush the other bars in my unitframe. Also a superior implementation.

- SUF doesn't have a "config mode". I really, really miss this. When I first set it up, I had to wait until I joined a raid to finish configuring the addon.

And finally, this isn't a missing feature from PB4 as god knows its default configuration is horrific, but SUF's defaults should be improved as well. They're functional but certainly not particularly attractive.

Same deal as below, something I'm going to add just have other things that are higher priority.

I might do something like this, but it's not high priority.

That's doesn't really fit with what SUF does, it's purely meant for the rectangle/square based layouts and the bars aren't going to be allowed to shift outside of the main frame.

Configuration mode will come eventually, but it's a very low priority as other features are used more.

SUF defaults aren't likely going to change, in general I've heard few complaints about them and they aren't going to satisfy everyone. They are more meant to either give people a 99% complete unit frame setup or to give them a basic template to work off of.

Configuration question.

How would I set SUF raid frames so that I can filter out raid icons that I dont want to see, or resize individual icons? I ask for situations where I'd need to heal a specific target (Anub PC, stuff in Icecrown).

Lets say I wanted to make the Star appear larger than other icons, or if I wanted to filter out all other icons except for the Star. If this isn't implemented, would you be willing to add it in? Thanks!

I've been trying to help a friend import my settings, but he consistently reports an error. I tried it on my end, and i've been getting the same error as well.

I can tell him how to set up the functions he wants, but i was hoping for the easy way out, and this has stumped me for 2-3 days.

My suggestion would be to use the ShadowedUF Grid plugin and add a special indicator wherever you'd like on the frame for Penetrating Cold, or whichever buff you prefer. As far as I know, none of the raid frames out there will filter based on raid icons, and I don't believe the API has any methods for doing so.

@Suggestive:
Try removing your Snobolled! custom buff, then adding it again manually after everything else has been imported automatically. Looks like the "!" in the buff name is what's causing the trouble. Or alternately, just change the name to "Snobolled" and replace the exclamation point aftewards.

Is there a way to have the border of frames change colour depending on debuff (ie purple for curse, blue for magic etc)? The current debuff highlighting is just not visible enough.

Same for the aggro indicator really, ideally I'd like to be able to have it as a corner indicator but I couldn't find any option to do this. Is it possible?

Hey,

Started using Shadowed Unitframes a while ago, keep up the good work!
Now the problem - with patch 3.3 the unitframes just aint working. They are not showing up, when I try /suf to get to options it won't let me get in it (press enter and it does nothing).
I've tried deleting the cache, reinstalling the addon using curse downloader, delete it and just manual download and install. Before people ask, it's the only addon not working, so I have "Load out of date addons" ticked.

EDIT: Found the problem, it was caused by the arena bars addon I use by Shadowed, it's not updated yet so I guess it messed something up.

Great add-on. Sorry if this has already been asked - I couldn't find it from skimming the thread.

Is there any way to resize the indicators in the default SUF package (combat/PVP/resting/etc.)? They're far too small for me to see and I can't find a way to scale them up without scaling the frames themselves.

And a suggestion - I would really like to have left and right text in the empty bar, similar to the health and power bars. I'm sure I'm not the first to ask for it.

Border highlighting is the closet you can get to this, it's in the General tab for units.

It's not updated because it's unnecessary, SUF has arena units included by default

Enable advanced settings, you can then set the size of the indicators. Same with the second left/right text for empty bar, advanced settings then go to Text Management to add a second tag text to the empty bar.

With the lastest SUF installed, unlocking/lock the frames make the UF disappear. You have to relog/reload to get them back or re-enable the addon to get it back out.

Also, I notice from clique that it doesn't show SUFunitPARTY or SUFunitRAID?

Sorry if I'm being a complete nubcake on this:
Can classcolours take over the entire health bar?
Adding the extra bar and class colour picks up what I want to do, but I would like the health bar to be entirely the same colour as the class. not have three bars (class, health, mana).

I had this switched on but until last night I thought it was just highlighting the whole frame as I have a Grid like setup and the colours were weird due to the interaction of class colours and semi transparent indicator colour. When the unit frame is bigger it's fine though. Are there any plans to make the opacity/thickness customisable?

Fantastic addon. Well done. Luv it.

The only thing that slightly annoys me at the moment is that party frames don't automatically hide when your raid is 6+ people so outside of instances I manually switch raid on/off (this is also a nice feature when u convert to raid for arenas too and want to keep party frames ON during raid but keep raid frames hidden). May not have explained it well but it's not a big deal (couple of extra clicks). Great addon!!! It has everything I want.

First off, Fantastic Addon.

Problems.



When we use Portrait as a BAR, and when your target is out of range or in another zone, the portrait reverts to a 2d potrait that stretches out.

In pitbull, the portrait simply reverted to a 3D yellow question mark (much more elegant). Is there a way to get that in the curret SUF or if not, will it be implemented?


Also,

When you anchor Buffs or debuffs to the top of a frame, instead of growing upwards to occupy empty space, they continue growing downwards into the unit frame covering everything. Is this, again, intended?
