Arthic's RaidComp: beta-release of a new in-game RaidComp tool

Dear readers,

Some of you might be familiar with MMO-Champion's RaidComp tool. This new addon, currently named Arthic's RaidComp, does something similar, but in-game. (If you know a better name for the addon, let me know.)

More info and download: Curse Page.

Features:
  • Updated to 3.1 buffs & debuffs
  • Talents will be scanned on raid members in range.
  • Scanned talent data will be stored for out-of-range usage.
  • Sorting of the list of raid members (click 'Name', '(Class)' etc.)
  • Option to add fake raid members.
  • Option to ignore raid members for calculation.
  • Option to set custom data on a raid member.
  • Option to specify which pets are in the raid (they are not scanned).
  • More info at can be found on the Curse page for Arthic's RaidComp.

This is a screenshot of the interface. Note that there is only one Death Knight in the list, and therefore a lot of raid-buffs are missing.

Remember this addon is of BETA release-quality!

Bug reporting & Suggestions:
Please use the CurseForge site to post a ticket: Arthic's RaidComp CurseForge page.

Greetings,

Arthic
(SylvanasEU)

I've been looking for something like this for quite a long time. I'll give it a go for sure, and report back any issues I may find.

Important note:

Currently, other addons that do talent-scans cause Arthic's RaidComp to malfunction (it gets stuck on talent-scans).
Known examples are: RaidBuffStatus, CowTip. This issues is being researched.

I haven't had the chance to test it in a raid environment yet, but if it helps you at all TipTac also has a talent feature, so there may be a potential interference with that as well if there was with the ones you had listed.

For your check on STR/AGI buff, it's noteworthy that the talented SoE totem is more valuable than the DK Abom Might buff. You might want to distinguish the two for your users.

Malan, it already does that. ('green check' -> full potential, 'blue check' -> present but not the best buff)

Just for clarification
Horn of Winter - STR/AGI
Abomination's Might - 10% AP

Mod is working quite well, though I'm not always able to run a check to scan the group. I'm currently in a PUG 25, and am unable to do so, does it require assistant/raid lead?

Also another nice feature to have would to possibly be to check the raid buffs status (MotW, Fortitude, Kings, etc), see who does not have them, and such.

Very nice mod. For some reason the data display is chilling below the frame, rather than inside it.

Good luck sorting out the talent scan issue, I wish I could give you some words of wisdom regarding that, but I have no idea.

It should be noted that a lot of times being specced into a tree doesn't mean you pick up a "key" talent. For example PvE Arcane Mages do not take Slow.

Also, rogue poisions should probably be "~" since they rarely use the utility ones unless they need to.

Arthic has given me permission to continue this addon on his behalf. I've made a number of changes, including (hopefully) fixing the problem that caused it to conflict with other addons that performed talent scans and the graphical bugs.

The updated addon can be found in the same place on Curse. If you have any issues or suggestions, feel free to report them on Curse with the Ticket system.

Any plans to add real-time analysis of buffs present? I'm guessing not, as the move from a static list of what buffs are available to the raid to one that monitors enemies and players would be big.

I'm keeping an eye out for a mod that will monitor both my current target, perhaps my focus, and the raid and display any missing buffs or debuffs that are important to raid DPS mid-fight. This would be more of a mod for raid leading purposes. Have it dynamically list missing buffs/debuffs, rather than filter the buffs/debuffs shown to be the ones you care about (like debuff filter does).

Try Utopia.

Yeah, if you're looking for an in-combat tool Utopia is what you want. RaidComp is more an organisation tool allowing you to construct a raid with the right buffs/debuffs, and quickly work out what abilities are present when you need something specific (such as telling you how many people can crowd control demons, how many can interrupt, how many can cleanse magic debuffs, etc.) It's not designed to be used while in combat to monitor what people are doing, it's to tell you what they're capable of doing.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned before, but a good mod to track current buffs/debuffs present in the raid is ShadowGreenLight. The small icon that you can configure on your screen allows you to know when to apply dots etc, by varying levels of red->yellow->green (as the optimal time to apply dots/dps). Some testing during raids has also showed that it reflects most self-buffs that increase personal spell power including Wild Magic pots etc.
