yes, upon completing the process it went on to equip Nemesis Skullcap - Item - World of Warcraft and remove my tier headpeice. in response to your questions i set the casting vaules as seen in your video and im not currently able to verify the version as im at uniand but double check that when i get in.
the difference was only 6. something dps so i was unusre if it was based soley on dps.
Ummm. I double-checked your numbers (assuming the scales seen on the youtube video). Here is the result:

Nemesis is a 106.89 dps gain over the tier8, ignoring the set bonuses. Now, assuming that you either:
Mistyped it here, equipping the nemesis skullcap is making you loose 4pt8 and not 2pt8
Mistyped the set bonuses in the mod's input frame, writing 100 in the 2pt8 instead of 130
You get that Nemesis Skullcap is worth exacly 6.89 dps more than Deathbringer Hood, just the number that you mentioned (6 something dps) in your post. Mind that Nemesis is worth 6 more dps than Deathbringer + lost set bonus, so RhadaTip equipped the correct item.

hi again, 1st off i would like to apologise on the scaling as i didnt explain it clearly at all so thats my fault there, its only the set bonuses that are the same (taken from your video) rest of stats are set as follows:

the same is also true with my wand, upon completeing the process the optimizer equips [Gemmed Wand of the Nerubians] i then go into my bags and hover over [Rod of Imprisoned Souls] and it shows this wand as being a 51.53dps gain. (not sure if this has something to do with self dps similar to the rings)
after the optimizer is done my total gear dps sits at 7231.30 (and 12.85% hit) when i swap in the 2 peices mentioned my total gear dps sits at 7289.48 (12.16%hit) your probably wondering why im specced 3/15/53 if i have that much hit, basically it was up until my last raid i was around 10% i was fortunate to replace [Pyrelight Circle] with [Firestorm Ring] and [Chain of the Ancient Wyrm] with [Darkbane Pendant] on my last TOC run.
i do have the 2.1.4 version of the addon
im guessing im probably doing something wrong myself in all honesty but i cant pin point what it is.

Lets try this.
Open RhadaTipGear.lua.
Go around line 350, and add the following like, just below nthTrinket1 = RhadaTip_BestTrinket0Link
This will print the tried out set combinations. Now lets also have their dps value. A couple lines below you will have if tonumber(dps) > tonumber(topDps) then, right above it you can add:
out(dps)
Then, save the file, and open WoW.
Once logged you have to rerun the gear optimizer, to make everything simpler, you should also remove all items from your bags, except the [Nemesis Skullcap] and the [Rod of Imprisoned Souls]. Lets see what it comes up with.

hi again. im currently extremely busy with uni work at this moment in time so have not really had chance to do this, but as soon as i do, i `ll get a post on here and let you know what it says. recieved an infraction for my last post here so not sure if i offended somebody, apologies if i did
The problem is that when I open AtlaslootEnhanced and browse the loot for Lord Jaraxxus, RhadaTip tells me that the Firestorm Ring he drops is a dps loss for me. This is a problem because of my current rings is Sinner's Confession which has lower stats in every area except stamina.
What the tooltip shows is an Item DPS value of 309.66 for Sinner's Confession and Item DPS value of 348.7 for Firestorm Ring. However, the tooltip for Firestorm Ring also shows Current Total Gear DPS of 6560.36 and New DPS of 6518.36 - a 42 dps loss (in red).
If the stats of the Firestorm Ring are higher than Sinner's Confession and the DPS value of Firestorm Ring is higher, obviously the new total gear DPS value should be higher as well. Is there a bug?
I've completed the fix to this ring issue. Would you (or anybody else with the same situation available) be able to test it if I send you a mirror? It took quite some code change to core methods, I'd rather not upload a buggy file you know!

Absolutely, I've rewritten some of the core functions for 2.1.5 (almost) just to be able to add the expertise cap more easily in an uncoming version.
Rings and trinkets comparisons should now be always accurate, regardless of hit rings currently worn by the player.
Added tier9 pre-saved scaling values.
Fixed a bug caused by One-Hand weapons that sometimes prevented the gear optimizer from working.
Added the following gems: Sovereign Dreadstone and Nightmare Tear.
Added the 3 Darkmoon Fairie: Greatness cards that had been left out of the previous releases.
Added russian localized tier set names (fixing the 2.1.4 known bug with the ruRU locale).
Added a message that shows how many gear combinations the gear optimizer is about to test (as a reference, on my pc 14400 combinations took 182 seconds to be fully evaluated).
Fixed a bug that was sometimes causing the gear optimizer to equip the wrong rings or trinkets.
The gear optimizer now factors in the 12 hit ratings from the enchantment Icewalker toward the evaluation of the excessive hit over the user specified gear hit cap.
The gear optimizer now supports shields properly.
Fixed an issue caused by mana per 5 socketbonuses in the deDE locale.
Rewritten many core functions to speed the addon up and make future additions (ie the expertise cap) easier to implement.

2) When I had 4pcT9 via ilvl 232 shoulders, it would often come up with gearsets that included my ilvl 245 Pauldrons of Revered Mortality. Strangely enough, if I moused over the ilvl 232 T9 shoulders it would say that equipping those shoulders would be a dps upgrade. As soon as I actually used the optimizer it would get swapped back out again. My T9 set bonuses were set to 2pc=100 & 4pc=130.

[Battlemaster's Ruination] should be easy to model, because it's just a flat +150 sp. The proc addes health, not stam. I haven't had any luck picking up trinket upgrades since I've just been doing ToC and was stuck with [Abyssal Rune] and the [Sundial of the Exiled]. Lootrank seems to think the Battlemaster's is better for me (I'm meta/ruin spec), so it would be nice not to have Rhadatip swapping it out. Lootrank also thinks [Talisman of Resurgence] is better than the Battlemaster, but Simcraft didn't agree the last time I tried modelling it.
I confirmed that I am running 2.1.5b. I'm also a tailor/alchemist so JC only gems should not affect me. Does it matter if I use Fel Armor or flask?
I think the shoulder slot is the only one that would be swapped because that's the only slot where the non-set piece was better than my set piece on an individual basis (excluding set bonuses).
