Rule 3: Consider is one of the most consistent and prolific quality DK posters on these forums. He gave you a personal response, and instead of thanking him you decided to be a smarmy ass. You're wrong, he's right, get over it.

Rule 6: You're right, dummy tests are worthless. So why did you include a youtube video of a worthless dummy test?

I would be quite skeptical of your results, for instance - even if DW Unholy pulled ahead at a 264 gear level (which, from my math, it doesn't, as I have looked into the possibility since the quoted post), there's no way it would beat DW Frost. To say it does means that whatever measure of verification you're using is severely flawed. There's just no remotely possible way that could be the case.

Things are always subject to change, of course, but all current available tools - simulators, spreadsheets, basic math, parses, whatever - point to DW not being a competitive option, but if you would like to actually try to offer support to the contrary (instead of just making a whiny little post with no actual backing behind it) I would love to see it.

Personally, I see Cataclysm happening the same way everything else happened: a majority of people going the optimal route with plenty of data/tests performed either personally or by a reputable source, while a minority continues to irrationally stick to a dated and suboptimal spec out of nostalgia, faulty testing (if any was done at all), or who knows what.

You haven't presented proof either, except your own claims, and you are presenting your claims as truth without evidence - just as you accuse me.

What evidence do you have that many people don't know how to use sims properly? That's just a statement based on hearsay/opinion. What do you think that qualifies YOU to say this and in what way do you think YOU are not MOST people? In what way do you think your sim 'skills' are superior, and you are not like most people?

All you are doing is falling into an argumentative fallacy of 'ad hominem'. In this specific instance, it means you are trying to validate your argument by debasing my 'abilities' to sim properly, all the while not tackling the issue of disproving my claims. 'Most people' do this, so I imagine you could be considered to fall under the category of 'most people'? Or do we want to make this less personal, and remain objective to the point without the baseless claims and petty jabs at what we assume to be the ignorance of 'most people'?

While you decide that, here is the evidence i will present to back my point.

The flaws here show DW Frost being on top the first minute. But as you can see eventually DW Unholy pulls off to be a higher sustained DPS overall. I would also like to point out too that the DW Unholy build is in a mix of ilvl251/264 gear and the DW Frost is a mix of ilvl264/277 gear, even though it does not show that in the video.

I also realize that the 'test' dummy doesn't always 'qualify' as to the full potential dps of a spec...but I would also like to point out that the reason for this WAS because unholy talents on dummies didn't calculate properly. We could also include that since the new DW Frost spec uses Howling Blast, it is also hitting the other 2 targets. But you can also argue that it might possibly equal out because my ghoul cleaves.
