Thought I'd jump in here. It seems perfectly reasnable from my point of view to change spell damage to holy damage on paladin tanking gear. After all, it's not just that it's currently itemised for multiple schools of magic (which provides nothing for us), it's also itemised to slightly benefit our healing, so we would technically be losing something, but I'm sure we can all agree that it's something we are prepared to lose, even if it does give us a tiny benefit for healing in that gear when done tanking. This is something our baseline/talents should be designed for if it's neccesary, not our gear. The problem however would be convincing the current developers of our class the same and if it ever was changed, it'd probobly just be spent on adding more holy damage anyway =p
