The tanking helm from Maloriak has significantly less strength than our tier headpiece, which makes it pretty unattractive in a BiS setup.

With sockets accounted for, our tier helm has 42 more strength, and 16 more rating points. No contest. However it will very likely be worth using over the 359 tier helm, so if you have the heroic tanking helm and the normal tier head, then I'd probably do it. But then again, if you have access to maloriak helm, you probably also have access to Halfus 372 shoulder, which is a better overall strength gain.
