Sry for my maybe stupid question, but, I`m a little bit confused actually.

I`m tanking with my bear since start of BC and I love ist, so im taking pretty
much care of it and already read all the posts here, including feral cat threads.

But ... I`m a bit confused ...

We receive AP, Crit and Dodge through our Agility stat, and thats why I preferred
Agi Neck/Back/Rings actually

But in more and more BIS-Lists I find "real" Tank jewelery with Str/Stam because
of their dodge/mastery. The items with agility mostly have hit or speed as 2nd stat
and only mastery OR dodge on it, thats why I`m actually reforging hit/speed to dodge.

Does it seriously make sense to switch to full def items for neck/back/fingers although
you receive strength instead of agility.

For example if I take the Signet of the Elder Council: Signet of the Elder Council - Game - World of Warcraft

I get,
190 agi -> 2AP per Agility -> 380AP in bear and ~0.782% dodge through agi
127 haste
127 mastery ~0.71%

Ok, haste is kinda worthless, but can be reforged into dodge,hit whatever ...

If I take one of the "listed BIS" deftank-item that also "counts for feral bear since 4.1"
like Ring of the Battle Anthem that shall be replaced later by Caelestrasz's Will now I
get the following:
Ring of the Battle Anthem - Item - World of Warcraft

I get,
190 Str -> 2AP per Strength -> 380AP in bear and ~0.0% dodge
127 dodge ~0.72%
127 mastery ~0.71%

Finally I end up with nearly same stats, BUT, I have the benefit to be able to reforge
some haste on Signet of the Elder Council into dodge/hit/mastery and end up with a little
more benefit compared to the Ring of the Battle Anthem due to reforge and crit by agi?!

So wtf?

Why are newadays a lot of guides and homepages mentioning that the def-tank items are also
better for bear now instead of the agi counterparts?

Ok, Caelestrasz's Will is the highest level item, ich would wear it too, but as long I don`t
have it, it doesnt make sense to switch to strength right?

Or am I misunderstanding something that changed with 4.1?
