Theorycrafting on the EJ forums is reserved for how existing game mechanics function, not how people wish they would function.
Don't know if something like this was propose here already, I would like to bring up two options from our blood shield that are being debated in official forums to all maths wise lords to entertain you doing some theorycrafting:
1) Shield functions like barskin instead of WP:S, but instead of giving a percentage damage reduction, it keeps the rought damage absorb number.
Example: the shield absorbs X points of physical damage throu 10 seconds PERIOD. It can be overwritten by a better shield but only for its initial duration.
This way, BS would give a very constant damage mitigation sacrificing the construction of a bigger and acumulative shield.
2) Shield functions as Savage Defense: a low percentage of damage recieved converted to shield, it can stacks as actual shield but instead it would proc from any attack landing on a mob with OUR diseases (or from a chance of any attack). This way, you could shield (or have a chance to shield) yourself with an icy touch or a DC when boss is not in a melee situation (Atramedes airphase)
