thanks examplar - the models ive run say that offset chest and offset helm are spit distance in overall dps (like 34648 and 34440) so yea i guess it all narrows down to looks and luck in getting the loot you need!รน
as for trinkets it seems like heroic versions of apparatus and vessel seem to suit us better also due to the cooldowns we have
