I'm at the point where with EM + Lust I'm hitting that haste where my lava burst cast time is about .8 seconds. So recently i reforged some of my haste to mastery, and now with the cds my lava burst is at exactly 1sec cast time. what im curious about is that would it be better if i just kept stacking haste until my Lightning bolt is at 1 sec cast time with the cds? wouldn't be a dps loss because my lava burst cast time would be about .7 seconds which is way past the global.

As shown on a graph in I believe the first page of this thread, more haste is more dps for us always. The best choice is to put your gear into a spreadsheet (I don't have a link now apologies) and see which would be more worthwhile for your current gear, more haste or more mastery, since they scale together so well.
