Don't post misinformation. You can't get our of range of the moonwell chalice, even on a mount.

All on use trinkets will lose their buffs when taken off. Moonwell Chalice is different in that, it summons a little moonwell and if you are within a certain range of the moonwell it will give you the mastery. So, it is possible to out range this buff. Moonwell Chalice is the only trinket that can be prepot.
