General DPS increasing advice: Constantly spam the next attack you will be making. If DivPurp or AoW proc after you started spamming, just swap which button you're spamming and you'll queue the new choice.

Exemplar, thank you for posting this. I have read about people spamming keys on these forums for a while but always assumed people were joking (I had visions of kids chugging Red Bull and pounding their keyboards non-stop). I usually wait for each ability to come off CD and then hit the appropriate keybind. Given latency and my 40-something reflexes, that can explain some of the delay with CS and other abilities.

I will have to relook how I activiate abilities but to be honest I do not see pressing keys as fast as I can, non-stop for a 7+ minute fight to be something enjoyable (or good for my keyboard). Maybe there is a happy medium where I can press a key a few times just as the CD is expiring that will still allow me to use abilities more rapidly. Looks like it is back to the training dummy to practice.

On a related note, can anyone recommend an addon or program that will allow me to analyze my combat logs without uploading them to WoL? I am have learned how to use WoL but if there was something I could use without uploading every combat log (i.e. training dummy testing) to analyze what I am doing that would be great.

Like you say, your CS usage is still low. You are averaging a little over 5 seconds between CS casts. That really should be more like ~4.5 or lower, although if you had to stop dps for a bit then that might explain it. Latency might also explain it like Exemplar explains in his post.

You used divine storm. DS is a waste if you can't hit at least 4 things with it.

You had a TV and 2 melee swings parried. This should be avoidable, especially if you're staying on shannox the whole time.

You didn't use golemblood potions. If you really want to maximize your dps you should be using these and lining them up with as many cds as possible. Good ret dps is so dependent upon proper cd usage it's ridiculous. If you can line that golemblood potion up with zealotry/AW while having max stacks from goatk, your dps will really sky rocket. If I get a lucky DP proc at the start of a fight, I peak at 40k dps without blood lust during my first round of cds.

All in all I think you're doing fine.

I am not sure why I used divine storm except that my Vent push to talk key is Ctrl, my CS key is 2 (actually one of my mouse thumb buttons), and my DS key is Ctrl-2 (all of my AoE abilities are tied to Ctrl). I rarely talk on Vent during fights but if I tried to say something while hitting CS it may have fired off a DS. Maybe I need to reconfigure my keybinds or Vent key.

I have gotten away from using golemblood potions for a while even though I usually carry a bunch with me. I will go back to pre-potting and using one with my CDs and see how much that helps.
