Without a combat log parse we have no way of helping you out. You're basically just asking us to write a full guide for you when there's already an entire thread created specifically for this purpose. First look at your own combat logs and those from top players to try to see what you can improve, then post your logs here and see if anyone finds other ways you can improve.

Hi, im a feralcat and when i used the elitistjerk's rawr it said i should have sustained dps of 27k - i got mostly firelands gear but some i do share with my brodha bear  - but frankly, im only doing about 20-21k on heroic dummy and about 21-22k in firelands on bosses that requires only one tank.
I guess my item level is about 385 and i know and have known how the rotation works etc and it always does - im just confused why i dont get the numbers rawr says should be doable?
Also world of logs shows people with rather insane dps so i guess it should be doable after all?
