You only had about a 35% to 48% uptime with Improved Soul Fire through your attempts so you were doing 8% less damage for about half the fight. If you are going to run destro you need to make sure you maintain that buff.

You have to hard cast soul fire every 20 seconds unless you get a empowered imp proc. You cant depend on that proc to go off often enough to keep the buff up.
