You could have scrolled up just a little bit for some discussion about why elemental might be less dps on that particular fight. And if you want to find out what the developers plans are for elemental, you should ask your question on the official Blizzard forums. Then if they want to tell you, they can.

Are they looking to buff ele shamans at all? I have done some research with other elemental shamans on my server, and they seem to have the same issue I'm having. On 10man madness I can get between 35-40k dps and still being way lower than the other dpsers in the raid. I've got the rotation and gear lvl of 386. I give it everything I got and can't seem to put out anymore dps. I've kinda been debating on what to do on my situation. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!
